Utterly gobsmacked by the fact, LTT could auction off a prototype of something that a start-up has worked off to create. What kind of greedy brain Linus has developed to do that to a small start up? Compensation or not, How could he think of doing that?. Never imagined i'd see this from Linus.

Folks, Linus has always been an entertainer first and foremost. The LMG and LTT groups are extensions of that.

This is a company worth multi-millions of dollars that was using a WINDOWS OS as their server before it crashed and they lost PBs of data. That's not something technically proficient people do.

I work in a highly technical engineering role at a large OEM and we have never thought LTT or LMG good examples of technical proficiency.  When they do say things that we find technically accurate we can validate that they were word for word the same thing ODM and system design engineers have said in our private conversations (meaning they were repeating what they were told).

Steve at GN can come off as pretentious even turgid, but he's also right.  Also, anyone that has dealt with Linus personally in the last 5 or 6 years will tell you he's disconnected , cloistered, and monastic.  People with net worth's in the tens of millions rarely can maintain their ability to be representative of the common people and consumers in general.

My personal anecdotal opinions of Linus aside, GN is right and if LMG and LTT want to stay on top they should correct it, but their haughty attitude towards this indicates they will not.

Given GN's latest follow-up on this. I'm really upset the way you portrayed this. You specifically said that Steven should have spoken to you and that you had agreed to payment... however, the agreement to payment didn't happen until AFTER Steve's video was published.

Linus, I have been a pretty big defender of you when I thought defense was warranted, but this is kinda disgusting.
You have really let us down here.
    I'm sad.

Just kidding but for real if you like Naval Combat you should pick up Atlantic Fleet. Another military game is World of Tanks Blitz which is also pretty fun but the (imo) very dumb screen curves might get in the way of the UI.

AAA games does not sound like they are a priority. If they were I would totally agree with you

But every opinion counts and perhaps the CPU choice is not even that important in this case.

Thats why I was recommending the cheaper platform for one thing.

Yes am4 boards have more or less vrm issue as well. Get atx board & they are generally better specially Asus if its in budget, asrock is respectful choice as well. for am4, Asus & Asrock boards seem to working well & have adequate vrm. I would suggest these two specially

if you cant afford above two then consider Asrock B350 pro4 . but onething that i've learned about asrock board that they lack Load Line calibration (LLC) & SOC voltage which are essential features for stable overclocking. But yet alot have good experience. I hope you will make the right choice.

Ps. if you dont know, ryzen don't have igpu, so a dedicated gpu is must to use the pc or wont be any display output. but I'm sure you have gpu already.

Yeah, like @Fardin said, the 1600 might be good considering you want to multitask with it. Extra cores will help with that, and you'll also get a more stable framerate. B350s are also cheap and you can OC on them, which is a bonus. You also save money on not needing an aftermarket cooler.

fx is too old & other is just doesnt worth considering if your budget can stretched up to 600$, you no longer need to look for used system at all. i gave that idea thinking your budget is small. as mentioned by @JoostinOnline . i5 system with a new ssd + 1050ti would be a nice combo. but lets hear all other suggestions too & see what is best recommendation you feel.

They're noticeably more powerful than the 1030.  I actually had a 750 Ti up until recently and it ran games great.  I played Rise of the Tomb Raider on Medium to High settings.  It's not too hard to find a used 750 Ti for around $60-$70, at least in the US.
An i5 Optiplex would be a good option.  A new GPU and a small SSD would really beef it up.
