I would go for 3600 instead.

PopsicleHustler got a reaction from StarsMars in GPU and cpu overheating, fans somewhat loud on rampup.
Your air circulation is extremely disbalanced. With dual GPUs and an overvlocked CPU, you need very good airflow. What you have now is not good. Air gets into the case but there is no way for it to get it. A single 120mm at the rear simply cannot keep up with all the heat that is being produced by the system.

Since you have to go Intel or AMD for your CPU, you can't really go 100% one company.
But you can get close to it though
ASUS doesn't make RAM and storage devices though, so you could do better!
This is a great suggestion/answer, as Gigabyte/Aorus basically makes everything.
You could even say, Gigabyte has a Z390 with an i9 included, meaning you can get a full PC, including peripherals (including monitor) from Gigabyte/Aorus.
If you use this for motherboard and CPU:
https://www.newegg.com/gigabyte-z390-aorus-xtreme-waterforce-5g-extended-atx/p/N82E16813145150
You can get memory, case, PSU, Videocard (since you buy an AIB, not necessarily Nvidia/AMD), cooler, SSD, mouse, keyboard, headset and monitor from 1 singular brand.
So basically if this was a challenge to make a PC (including peripherals) where if you had any issues you only wanted to contact 1 company, that would be the best way.
(This is assuming a conventional desktop PC, so something like just saying Apple or a phone/laptop manufacturer does not count)

PopsicleHustler got a reaction from Ben17 in Did this guy plug Power SW wrong?
Power and reset switches don't have polarity. All they do it short the connection that sparks boot up or force reset sequence. This is why you can turn your PC on by simply shorting PWR +/- switches with a screwdriver.

You can build yourself a WAAYYYY better system in that kind of a budget.
Windows keys can be had fr pretty cheap from sites like eBay, kinguin, scdkeys, etc.

PopsicleHustler got a reaction from Mira Yurizaki in WARNING- Be careful when buying Ryzen gen 2 or 3 motherboards
I mean you're literally complaining about something that could've been prevented by spending 5 minutes on the internet.
Just go on any PC related forum and ask there. Or if you're super lazy, just go to pcpartpicker.com, enter PC components and it will automatically check their compatibility and tell you whether or not you need to update something.
As for the guy who has been "building PC for years". He is either building one PC every few years, or he is making stuff up about his experience. Bios updates and CPU "backwards" compatibility has been a thing since I can remember.
This is why we always ask for people's build when they asking something about compatibility or something about their new build. Always ask others because 1 pair of eyes is good, entier LTT forum worth of eyes is better. Its not a good idea to think "Oh well, it was this way some time ago, so it probably hasn't changed".

You are probably overdue for a whole system upgrade, I'd consider the R5 2400G and a new B450 motherboard with new DDR4 RAM. Get a new GPU later when you can afford it.

PopsicleHustler got a reaction from Corrupted in Ultimate boomer law - "joke" bill bans phones for people under 21
USA.... You can own firearm at an age of 14, but cannot own a god damn phone before turning 21.
The argument "X people use Y thing while driving is causing accidents" can go so deep, you will need a flashlight to see.
Another point is "suicide prevention". Question - Where do you draw the line between phone and a tablet? Or better - What is a smartphone? This reminds me about our ridiculous "TV License" law here in Ireland. It states that all TV owners must have a license, but it doesn't really specify what a TV is. It only outlines its basic functions that require you to get the license.
So same applies to smartphones. It doesn't specify what a "smartphone" is. I can easily go on Amazon and find a decent tablet under 10 inches that works exactly like a smartphone, but isn't classified as one.

PopsicleHustler got a reaction from SkilledRebuilds in How come, people get smooth gameplay with under 60fps. ?
Its because of consistent frame times after rendering the video. This is why 60FPS gameplay on youtube will always look smoother compared to 60 FPS real time gameplay.

No, my 2080(1080 ti) can barely do 120fps on high. You’ll be lucky to do 144hz 1080p high on a 1070.

PopsicleHustler reacted to Jumballi in Can gtx 1070 handle 1440p 144-165 hz?
Gsync helps with frame stutter, tearing, and super low fps situations when you couldn’t hit 60 before. It’s not a replacement for 100+ fps
