rjbarker got a reaction from PrimeSonic in Are front mounted intake radiators bad for case temps?
you guys seem to be all under the assumption that Cases are "Air Tight"....we all know theyre anything but that...setting up "positive pressure " in a case is an ideal way to go imho...I've got all of my 3 rads set up as Intakes...to me its just plain "wrong" to run anything but "fresh air" over a heat exchanger....I've never noticed any build up of warm airin my Case, certainly notice the air being forced out of all the little vents, crook n crannies though...hold a match or a smoke up against a crack or vent on a massive "positive pressure" case and "you'll get it"............a single exhaust fan top / rear is all thats necessary...

Bits Power Rotary Compression...I've never had a leaky Rotary!!!!!

rjbarker got a reaction from Lays in Trickle from CPU water block
Lays has the best advice!!!
It should clear over tme on its own...what I do after filling:
1. Tilt PC on every extreme angle imagineable with pump running at mid to high speed.
2. Pinch tubes in various locations to briely "restrict" flow (when you release listen to the bubbles that ome thru)
3. Tap Rez witha rubber handles pair of pliers lightly (also clears micro bubbles)
4. a few times a days reduce speed of pump and increase speed of pump
It can take up to a week or so to completely clear all trapped air, be patient, it should clear itself
How are your temps? If there pretty good, dont sweat it, keep going thru the steps outline above.
As for your Tube runs......guys he's got his CPU Block "unmounted" and hes WC'ing his Mobo !! (also crappy angled pic).....so naturally it looks a bit untidy....OP, dont worry about re-routing all the tubing, if thats what you found to be the most optimal, then stick with it let us know if the bubble clears ....it should
If its possible to leave your fill port "open" then do that as it will assist in clearing air ...(Looks like a Photon 170 Pump / rez combo same as I have. so just leave the top plug out until finished bleeding), I leave mine out for a week or so!!
Also for tube runs, my only rules:
1. Keep runs as short as possible
2. Try not to "cross" tubes
3. Where 90's are required (particularly input / output) off pump / rez, use 2 x 45's or better still 3 x 30's

rjbarker got a reaction from TJSidhu in holding up PUMP + RESEVOIR with magnetic tape
Personally I wouldnt put magnets anywhere near my sensitive Electronic within my case....thats just my opinion....with that being said you'd be better off with Industrial Velcro....better yet...get out the drill and go to home depot and pick up some 6/32 machine bolts, rubber washers and nuts...mount it properly

rjbarker got a reaction from jdsb52 in Custom loop for the same price as AIO?? is it possible!
I havent used a CPU Air Cooler in a few yrs now...think I have my TRUE tucked away in a bag in my closet somewhere

rjbarker got a reaction from jdsb52 in What would be the best all in one liquid cooler?
^^Yep without a doubt...far superior to the H100i and can also cool a GPU if added to the Loop (its not a closed loop like H100i), but will require a spot to mount a 360 Rad. there certainly not all "the same"....

rjbarker got a reaction from Monty007 in Figuring out SLI
Single connector only for SLi...the others are for Tri SLi...connectors furthest to the "back" of the Case.
If your Cards are spaced as they would be for 3 Cards (but only 2 Cards), you can use a Tri SLi connector with no ill effects, many of use this for aesthetic purposes

^^^^^ Oh yeah !!!!
btw.....the 780Ti Backplates werent available yet and I refuse to pay $70 Int Shipping to Evga to have em shipped to Vancouve Island Canada...NCIX Vancouver (Linus's former home) had a couple of 780 vanilla backplates in stock....they fit fine

rjbarker got a reaction from helping in 3930K 5Ghz Tri SLi 680 vs SLi 780Ti
Hey folks, I have posted these numbers up on another forum, but thought I'd throw em up here for folks with some curiosity, the firestrike numbers really surprised me....!!
Tri SLi 680 Clasifieds were OC'd as high as I could get em (stable enough to get thru the Benchmark run)
SLi 780Ti OC'd - +161 Mhz Core / + 263 Mhz memory
Here's some direct comparisons between Tri SLi 680 Classy's Max OC's n 780Ti SLi Max OC's - all with 3930K @ 5 Ghz:
MKII (Performance)
Firestrike (Performance)
