"Ambient in room: 23c"

D: How you do that?!

I'm thinking of getting a second 780 and putting it into my loop. Is it really worth it?

Probably not, there are probably lots of problems that come with that such as compatibility. There's absolutely no point in have 2 high end cards in a GPU at 1080p. Even 2 780tis are OP for 1440p, IMO. Should be ideal for 4K.

^^^ If you're only running 1080 not needed...for 1440p and higher Rez definitely worth it ;) For 4K you're going to want more than the 3GB VRAM 780Ti's offer...personally I wouldnt bother with 4K with anything less than Titan SLi 6GB !!!VRAM.

* Shouldbe noted that in an "open enviroment" with lots of explosions, fire etc..the FPS will dip down to the 80's ;) Fair to say a single 780Ti with the same settings would likely dip below 60's...would b alright, just have to knock back some of the Settings a bit for sure!

I'm looking for every good reason to buy a 2nd GTX 780 HOF edition.. I just like looking at all my money also though! D:

If I did buy it I would have to devote my time to gaming I guess.

^^^^^ Actually I reached a point long ago where I get far more pleasure out of planning n building then gaming...thats why WC'ing is so much fun....Custom Loops are just that..."Custom" as you can do whatever you like ;)

As said...if your only running a single 1080 display...its hard to justify a 2nd GPU...but if you simply like HW and enjoy spending your $$$ on a hobby you like...go for it ;)

For anyone thats reached the point of confidence in building / troubleshooting there own Rigs, I would certainly say the next step is to WC your CPU and GPU!!

Dude, if you want to get over 100fps on games at max settings, you will need 2 GPU's even at 1080p, please don't say multiple GPU's are overkill because you're happy with 60fps and less, also not even 2 780ti's are very good for 4K as you'll have every graphic setting on low to get a playable frame rate.

^^^ That line alone pretty much shows exactly what he "does" know ;)  ...Actually 60 FPS is the magic number for me...more is meh....but a solid 60 can be challenging at 1440p with all the eye candy ;)

Have you seen the difference between 60 and 120fps on CS:GO, I've been playing on a 120htz monitor and getting around 90+fps on games like battlefield and I just can't go back to 60fps because it is horrible.

^^^ Well that would be because you're playing on a 120Hz Monitor :)  I'm on 1440p 60Hz.....obviously 60 FPS wont look very good on a 120 Hz monitor....
