Apologies, I totally forgot your original question.
There probably aren't many things they can do, apart from bumping some numbers that don't really appeal to anyone. They'll likely improve what already makes the camera stand out, but I don't see them launching anything that'll tempt me to buy it.

I doubt very much they'll inject venice colour science into the mix. That'll make it far too close to the FS5ii. With an XLR adapter it would basically be the same camera..

Apple talked a bit about their added external GPU support yesterday and announced a Dev Kit would come to market immediately. I when to apples developer website and found the purchase page for the Dev Kit, and ITS A GREAT DEAL!
The kit for $600 comes with:
Sonnet external GPU chassis with Thunderbolt 3 and 350W power supply - ? AMD Radeon RX 580 8GB graphics card - $260 Belkin USB-C to 4-port USB-A hub - $50 Promo code for $100 towards the purchase of HTC Vive VR headset - $100 Doing the math, this is a great deal for that means that even though we don't know how much the chassis will cost, it has to be below $190, because of the prices of the other accessories.
Even if you buy with the intention of not using the $100 toward the Vive, thats still 290 for an external Thunderbolt 3 GPU dock. Thats compered to the other popular Thunderbolt 3 dock the Razor Core at $500.

Yup, but stick high end desktop GPU in a MacBook Pro.... wait, it's impossible*. The TB3 may not give it as much bandwidth as a PCIe GPU, but it will beat the internal dGPU every time.

*besides, it'd heat up so much it'd either set the room on fire or melt through your desk, and then set the room on fire.

I think is going to be less limited than you think, both Nvidia and AMD have drivers out for Mac for almost all of their cards. In the Dev Kit they include a normal RX 580 not a special one.

All these manufacturers you mentioned above supports their own docks. Dell's Alienware has a proprietary thing going on. For Dell XPS, which I've personally looked into, you have to do some kind of modifications and it's not very stable experience.
It's not plug and play like the Razer blade
Never mentioned anything about TB2. Besides, there would've been throttling due to lack of bandwidth
    What are you saying here?
    Well it's closely related
