Secret Shopper is supposed to be from the perspective of a generic shopper, as they had a non techie person doing the "shopping" and bought the computers.
 
LTT could have shown the full invoices for each PC which would have negated probably all of this "drama" because then it would show exactly what it is listed as on the invoice and it would be in black and white, no mixing up what was originally charged for what including the "shipping". If SF went back and changed their site to forcibly separate the shipping and taxes then that would have been done after the fact and their "press release" could have reflected that as a move to be more "transparent".
 
 
Parts broken, no matter how small, is still broken. If someone that had never built a computer opened it and had loose rattling plastic in it then they would call their friends and say (most likely), yeah I got it and something broke in it. Does that mean the computer itself was broken, no not necessarily. But, parts in it were broken regardless.
 
The problem with taking the video down and making changes to it in this aspect is that it completely ruins the "secret shopper" aspect if the companies can go back and "UHM ACTUALLYYYY" and have the changes they want put into the video. Yes, LTT can ruin small companies with a video. But, the small companies have to strive to be better because they will always be under more scrutiny. 
 
I hope the replaced video details all of these findings and doesn't hide them because that will hurt everyone's credibility more than what has already happened.

alright, a few things..
what is the speed you pay for from comcast?
 
It sounds like you have a modem connected to a router and then to your computer/devices.
if you can, plug a network cable from the modem to a computer/laptop and goto http://speedtest.net and run a speed test. If your speed is better while connected directly to the modem rather than in the router, then the router has an issue.
If your speeds don't match closely to the amount you pay for and you're "renting" a modem from comcast you have 2 choices. Buy your own and have it be your responsibility or contact them and tell them that the modem has an issue and to come replace it.
 
In most cases that i've had experience with the Modem from the companies are usually the issue.
 
Another thing you could do is factory reset the router if you find that the modem is giving you better speeds than the router.
If you factory reset your router and its a wireless one then you need to go back into it and set a WiFi password. I can help you with that if need be later, or google it.
 
The merits of a wireless router would be that smartphones/tablets/laptops could all connect without the use of a network cable.
there are different versions of wireless network types.. b/g/n/ac the scale goes from left being the worst and right being the best. They are all backwards compatiable. Wireless N would be what I recommend because wireless AC is still pretty new and only newer devices would take advantage of it. The "range" of wireless would depend on the band (b/g/n/ac) and then the type of router (internal antenna/external antenna). But before you look into buying new hardware i'd do the troubleshooting first.
 
Most wireless routers are standard routers aswell so you don't need wireless adapters for desktops unless you don't want to run a cable. To use a desktop on a wireless connection you would need a wireless adapter. The types of wireless adapters are PCI (internal) wireless cards and USB wireless adapters. But thats a whole other category. If you want more information about those then i'd be happy to help you out.

+1 for HyperX cloud. (alpha is what I have because I preferred to have a detachable cable).
for music I just wish it had a bit more bass and I compensate for it using software EQ on my phone/laptop.
they block out much more background than I thought so I catch myself speaking louder to make up for it. Still working on a portable solution for mic monitoring with it. (other than "listen to this device" because it induces just enough lag to throw me off).

My desktop audio setup I have a Monoprice condenser mic on a arm through a Samson FX board with one of the audio outs going to a Rolls RCA mini mixer (https://www.amazon.com/Rolls-MX42-Stereo-Mini-Mixer/dp/B00102ZN40/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1539581853&sr=8-2&keywords=Rolls+RCA+mixer) and the audio out going to my headphone amp which allows me to do the audio mirroring I want and can adjust the audio for each source I run through it easily.
 
My primary headphones are Beryerdynamic DT990 600 ohm (with a detachable 3.5mm mod because my dog ate the cable on it.... rip (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B06W2KB8ZV/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s02?ie=UTF8&psc=1) running off a FiiO E09K.
I use the FiiO E07K after the Rolls mixer to add some bass to the audio overall. (i'm sure there's plenty of other ways to do this but I already had the E07K because i was using it as a dac for a while but when I upgraded my motherboard to the Gigabyte 990FX they use a good enough dac that I didn't really need it for that anymore.)
 
 
I wasn't going to post pictures but I figured i'd get a bunch of questions on the DT990 mod.. Its literally some wire (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01L3FIITU/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1) soldered to the original wire and taped (or something, i don't even remember what I did at this point to seal the connections) and then the housing had to be drilled out a bit so the jack would fit and then I just used gorilla super glue to hold it in place. I did the mod back in March and its held up since.

Man, that's some ghetto detachable wire mod on the DT990, well done!!!?

I use the Razer Chroma Blackwidow and other Chroma items and the I hound that R:255, G:25, B:0 or in hex #FF1900 works the best for me. I tried the others in the topic but all of them came out being to whitened if you get what I'm saying. The orange comes out more dark to match the LTT color. If any of you guys want a picture of it then Ill add one to the thread. For now ill show the Choma configuration. Keep in mined the colors on the screen are not what they are in real life.

Cellphone stand (I like iottie stands) to hold up your phone while at your desk and a multi port USB charger.

My dbrand one is nice but dirt makes it inbetween the screen protector and the sticker part.. which is why i'm against multi piece screen protectors.
Hopefully Linus is right and their website is as they say "the last screen protector i'll ever need"

oh, I was under the impression that a SSHD used the SSD drive as a cache for the HDD portion..

Razer Ferox are some of the best i've tried out.. i've had some others and they just don't hold up.. my Ferox have been through hell and highwater..
 
lol funny story
one year for Halloween I strapped the ferox to my shoulders and played creepy music from my phone through them. the ~13 hour battery is awesome in them.. (note: I have the old blue LED version so I can't comment on the new Green LED version.)
