  1. So I got a new ssd to use as a boot drive and i want to be able to access everything on the HDD that i already have without hassle. Is there any way to sync windows setting, desktop, icons, start menu, and the like? I assume ill need to reinstall some drivers but what about programs? Would i need to reinstall my browser and everything or is there a way to use rhe user on ny old HDD on the new SSD without cloning all of my files because my HDD is 4 TBs and my ssd is 500 gbs.
  2. Yeah theme, wallpaper, etc i assume ill need to reinstall drivers and such. Start menu programs and the like poasibly too unless i should just reinstall the programs i need? Ice never set up a computer that used more than one storage before and both drives have windows 10 on them. Though id want to use my hdd primarialy for its storage but im not sure how to set everything up aha
  3. This is what i did, is there anyway to transfer like my desktop, settings, and such from the other boot to the new one?
  4. I've bought a new Samsung 970 SSD to use as my boot drive for windows since I'm tired of 30 minute boot up times on a hard drive but I'm not actually sure how to transfer just the windows 10 OS to the SSD and not all the other data? My HDD is 4 TB's and my SSD is 500 GB's so I can't just transfer/clone everything.
  5. The title of this post is misleading. They used multiple images of her works in their games with n ocredit or reference assuming free use despite it not being free use and never being free use. They've been doing it for years and there is many examples of direct and obvious usage of her work. The book was made in a time where no one thought someone was going to just use these things in a multi billion dollar franchise multiple times over.
  6. They claim they can do it without Machine Learning/Deep Learning AI sooo. No. WHich emans it may also not be as accurate as nvidia's offering.
  7. This doesnt realyl change much for the industry. Prices arent goign to go down because of this. Analysts have gone over why Steam can't match this price point. (The features they offer and all their upkeep costs means they would run in the red if they tried to match) and if they tried to go lower but didn't match Epic can take that and use it as marketing against Steam. Theres a reason the EGS still doesnt have basic features. The upkeep costs would continue to climb higher and higher and they're already running the store itself at a massive loss. People can think this is Epic tryign to do good for the industry but in reality its them trying to make valve take a hit to revenue and back them into a corner.
  8. I imagine the ray tracing performance on here isn't going to be as good as Nvidia's offerings nor will it look as nice as Nvidia has had time to really egt RTX built up while Microsoft has onlyhad so long to make DXR and it being less of a dedicated hardware thing may mean even though its an easier to implement API the visual fidelity of the ray tracing will be lower. (As seen on the PS5's Spiderman RT reflections having only about half the details showing and at a lwoer resolution)
  9. Its a secretlabs chair by the looks of it. Like 100% thats just a secret labs chair with a fancy big lumbar pillow.
  10. Steam has explicitly stated that in the unlikely case they have to shut down for any reason they'll unlock everyone's games to be drm free and download directly. Epic is only pushing this so they can push their shitty storefront and lure people into using them over others through shady marketing.
  11. Don't hype up based on these alone because old Navi had better specs on paper than nvidia's offerings, by al laccoutns it should have performed amazingly well. But it didn't and was performing way udner spec. So I cant trust AMD's "specs" claims.
  12. TFlops is flawed anyways never believe them. But just because somethign has mroe cuda cores doesnt mean it has that much extra performance. AMD beat out nvidia in specs with their last card but it performed significantly worse despite having superior specs in it. We can't expect a linear increase in performance and expecting a linear increase is stupid. Diminishing returns will happen and how they optimize said cores and other parts of the card wil ldetermine performance not raw spec alone. You could have a card with massive amounts of everything in it but have it run horrible all the same.
  13. Sony is jumping into the scene a little late after trying to parade their PS4 as "better than PCs" for a bit. But this is ultimately a good thing for everyone. Devs and Consumers alike. SO while Sony is egotstical and slow imo they're at least making the right decisions.
  14. Issue: $5 is not worth advertising a company. A normal deal for advertising even just once is a few thousand dollars. Hell for prolonged exposure if the company is not going through some agency it can be upwards of $20,000. If an agency is involved said agency tends to take a 90+% cut of the money and only give the creators a small amount of a few hundred to a few grand. What BK did is forcibly advertise themselves basically for nothing. Exploiting content creators and using them as advertisers for their brand WITHOUT PROPER COMPENSATION. Not to mention IT DID NOT MENTION IT WAS AN AD. Which is an FTC Violation and can get these streamers into legal trouble that could end their career temporarily as they deal with the legal drawbacks. Luckily that didn't happen and BK/the Agency came out about it and will likely face FTC guidelines trouble for not discolosing what they were doing was an advertisement campaign when they did it and not informing said streamers of said campaign.
  15. This is good because Funimation is horribly exploitive and loves to shit on creators and their works and Crunchyroll is a massive scam where they funnel money they claim go to creators into their own pockets while enforcing a strict monopoly of their own.
  16. 21 Years ago nvidia announced the Geforce 256, the first ever Geforce branded card. On the same day they plan to announce whatever this is. The 21 years thing might be a reference to that?
  17. The numbers here do seem weird to me considering previous leaks. These numebrs just seem too low in comparison of what other leakers have talked about in regards to performance and the changes made to get performance. But everything is a grain of salt so who knows hot this'll turn out.
  18. The airflow looks atrocious to be honest. If they want to power 4k gaming and ray tracing that thing is going to run hot and LOUD unless there's some special airflow vent somewhere.
  19. They are more withholding some truth in the video itself. The video is only 1440p at 30 FPS with unstable framerates but they didn't state what resolution or FPS they aimed for the engine and likely wanted to lead people to believe it was 4K at least. This is the same situation as Microsofts "Not all games will be 4k 60 as its up to the developers" but since Sony/Epic were vague about it they've avoided explicit drama. Tim Sweeney even claims the PS5 is the only hardware this is capable of being done on, claiming not even high end PC's can do it "due to the PS5's SSD tech."
  20. It's nto a surprise that Micr9osoft is also investing in Audio as Sony's original claim for the PS5 was 3D and advanced audio. People can say it's "not needed" but having surround sound in a living room and have it be more optimized and clear for the people with those set ups or headphones is a good idea none the less. It's likely not a full fledged piece like a PC soundcard but an additional part of the motherboard inside to process audio more effeciently.
  21. "Fox didnt agree on an extension so its on them" The issue with this logic is that it's entirely based upon a lie. Roku claimed it was a carriage dispute but Fox was more than ready to renew any actual extension of agreement and to let them host their app. The issue was Roku decided to demand more money from Fox. The term "strike a deal" is used and that in the industry implies Roku is wanting greater compensation for hosting Fox's apps or they're wanting more compensation than they have been given and Fox noticed their timing and likely raise of cost to be too coincidental. The announcement was too sudden, there had likely not been any actual long term negotiation behind the scenes until that point. Likely Roku sending in a demand for more money and Fox refusal, once the refusal hit instead of negotiating Roku pulled in the consumers as leverage against Fox. Roku decided to use the big game that will air in 4K HDR for the first time ever to try and extort Fox hoping they'd be desperate enough to get that content out there to make money that they'd accept a deal. Fox was smart and refused the extortion and will likely take its apps elsewhere. This is entirely on Roku for trying to exploit a MASSIVE upcoming event for profit at the cost of the consumers. I can tell you right now it isn't a mistake or coincidence that this happened before one of the biggest money makers for Fox. Thing is it would be a massive money maker for Roku too due to ad space but they likely wanted to try and squeeze more out of Fox because of it being "the first 4k HDR super bowl". Negotiations on a deadline happen more often than not weeks in advance or at maximum a week in advance if a company believes it'll go by quick. NO ONE would wait until *days* before to try and negotiate and when refused go public about it. The timing isn't coincidental, it'd be *insane* of Roku to decide to demand negotiation THIS CLOSE to super bowl sunday. Fox likely has some blame as I'm sure thew broadcast will cause Roku's servers to be used HEAVILY but Roku should also already have a way to profit in ad space for it anyways and if not then it's on them for that. It's Roku wanting more money on a surely justifiable reason at a glance but it's them trying to offset costs onto the app provider which is still scummy to do in any industry where you already have an agreed or fixed rate. It'd be as if Steam decided that it'd pull all of the batman games from its store unless the publisher or developers paid them extra money to keep it there outside of an actual copyright dispute that tends to only happen to copyrighted games made by dead studios. It's an extortion method thats scummy for business and scummy for the consumer when something like this happens on such short sudden notice. If it was say two weeks maybe a week in a half at the earliest of an announcement then I doubt it'd be suspicious but the timing is just too damn coincidental to be a coincidence.
