  1. Wow... You literally could've saved the whole entire effort by googling your question and stealing the first thing you find in Stack Overflow. If you don't care to learn, then why are you doing basic homework problems for an entry level course?
  2. Also, the majority of the website maintenance (along with other things) is done by government contractors (companies who contract with the government to preform the service), so I'm sure there's an argument about how the current contact doesn't support the costs, and they need more tax payer money in order to afford the fix. Blame the government sure, but greedy AF civilian corporations are just as equal on the blame. A LOT OF THIS WOULDN'T HAPPEN IF COMPANIES STOPPED TAKING SHORTCUTS IN ORDER TO MAKE ADDITIONAL PROFIT.
  3. I caught that too. Either way, he/she/they/them is an asshole.
  4. Also, add an HDD. You'll get more if the other person had to do less to get it working. Otherwise, they'll already want less than you offer simply because it needs an HDD.
  5. You can shoot the fan curve using MSI Afterburner if you want. I OCd my 480s (MSI GamingX 8GB) quite aggressively, and got about 60-70 degrees, but I also had much more aggressive fan profile. Stock, the fans aim for silence. Temps are fine. You can have lower temps with louder fans. Experiment and choose what you prefer.
  6. Oh wow. That's awesome! Can you please share your PCMR ways with us and show us how you optimize W10? That would be like dope AF. I do envy your personal experience. One day, when I grow up, I hope to be as awesome as you.
  7. Paying a dollar for ANY of the bundles at HumbleBundle is better than the garbage you're advertising from steam. If person I mentioned wasn't familiar with those other sites, then they can feel free to look. You provided a list of games that included Shadow of Mordor, which is often on Fanaticle (you complain about repeating bundles over and over again). So, if the person doesn't have the game, you recommended it but not to pay full price, well, then I'm sure the repetitive sale would eventually benefit someone looking for the game. Providing additional insight.
  8. If this monitor has Freesync 2 and isn't working well with the GTX 1070, then it might be an Nvidia problem with drivers and not necessarily the GPU, depending on what issues you're having. If it's GSync/Freesync issues, then another Nvidia GPU might reproduce the same issues (again, not familiar with your issue, so sorry if I sound ignorant.) Otherwise, I 100% agree with @Princess Cadence and recommend waiting for Navi. Either Navi will be better, or not. Either way, you'll have more options, and the prices of NVidia should come down a bit when there is more competition.
  9. I'm pretty sure in the settings, there's an option to unlock core clock and unlock voltage. You have to select that, then restart and you'll be able to modify from there.
  10. Then check out other sale sites like Fanatical, GamersGate, and HumbleBundle. They generally have a MUCH better selection than the Steam Games Dollar Bin. https://www.gamersgate.com/ https://www.fanatical.com/ https://www.humblebundle.com/
  11. Then Steam being hacked would be the least of your issues. If you have the mobile 2 factor authenticator app installed and they bypassed that, then you might want to get the garbage apps off your phone. You might want to change the passwords on your email and such. Unless your password was stupid easy and the same as other accounts, I'd recommend cleaning your PC and scanning for viruses, malware, keyloggers, etc...
  12. In case people aren't familiar with this resource: https://www.bennish.net/password-strength-checker/ Gives you the estimated strength based on dictionary use and hack time from brute force algorithms.
  13. Enable 2-Factor authentication. Use stronger passwords. Don't store payment information.
