Well I've been holding off on writing this Status Update for a while now. I've known about the Bad News I'm about to share with you guys for a little over a Month now.
Ever since I've been informed of the Bad News I've just not had my usual amount of Motivation to do much Outside of just going to Work every Weekday, but I really gotta start working on my problem now other wise I'm even more f#cked in the end.
So basically I didn't pass the practical part of the Final Exams of my apprenticeship. I passed writing and Speaking with good Marks but was just too slow during the two days of the practical Exam to even finish half of what we had to do. I blame that on having a mild cold during that Week. Of course me who is rarely Sick has to be Sick exactly then.
What's even more annoying about my situation tho is that my Company doesn't want to keep me and allow me to repeat a year. They're letting me go for a variety of reasons, which are really stupid ones and are Unfair to me. Like yeah I admit I'm not the fastest at working but I'm good at it, I can impress people with the Quality of my Work and not the Quantity. This is a Construction job so you somehow have to be good while also being fast like The Flash. Also for these 3 years I've been told over and over again by HR that I seem arrogant. HR basically is just the CEOs Wife and she is an annoying Boomer herself, so yeah. But whenever asking people other than Boomers what they think about me they never mention that I seem arrogant. Like I'm direct and honest. These f#cking Boomers man, hate them so much.
Anyways it's a small stupid family business and I'm also kinda glad that I can't stay. So now I also have to look for a new Company to finish my education at and to get my degree. I'm just really happy that I passed school, man would that ever suck if I'd have to repeat school too. The Stupid thing of course is that the Date where I can go repeat my practical Exam is in May next year, so yeah I lose one whole year yet again. Yay !
I mean honestly at this point I don't care anymore because I've already lost 2 years, because I've had to do the first school year in primary school twice for some Stupid reason and then after I was done with High School I had to do a 10th school year because back then I didn't have an apprenticeship yet.
Now to Contact other Electrician Companies if one of them may be so nice and take me on. I've of course already signed up to go repeat the practical Exam.
Yeah my Work live is very much f#cked at the moment and I hate it so much. I hope you guys are doing better than me at the moment.
Like I'm fine Health wise, just totally overworked and desperately need a long time off. My Stupid Company didn't want to give me Holidays this year even tho I have a 5 Week Holiday Budget every year. But because I had lots of Minus hours that didn't work out according to them. These f#cking Assholes only told me this year that I'd have to work off my Minus hours. I told the CEO and HR (again basically just his Wife) multiple times that they could just not give me the full amount of the Paycheck but no we don't do it that way. We'd rather torture our Workers but still give them the full amount for their Paychecks. There might be a Law for that so they might not actually be in the wrong but still. So for the past 3 Weeks now I've been working 9 hours a day to work off my 25 Minus hours I still have, luckily a Co Worker who passed his apprenticeship also has Minus hours so I'm always working that extra hour with him.
So 11 days of work left until my Contract runs out on the 31st of July. Hopefully until then I have a solution to my problem aka a new Contract. Because technically you don't need a Contract in Order to go repeat the Exam, but I'd rather not have to pay for the costs of that Exam and all the others costs involved with learning at Home if I were to do that. Would basically have to build a Wooden Wall on which I can install things and buy all of the Tools and Materials I'd need. So yeah I'd rather be employed lol. Also a constant flow of money would be helpful. Like I still live at Home so this is luckily not a livelihood threatening situations, but still this is a VERY annoying situation.
So that no one asks what I do for a living because you've never read any Details on my Profile: I'm currently doing an apprenticeship as an Assembly Electrician. You're Welcome.
And the worst part of it all ? I don't even wanna be an electrician ! This apprenticeship was just to have a degree so that I can get into an IT Job. IT/Computer Science, that's where my dream job is at.

You are a quality over quantity worker in a largely quantity over quality construction industry. Today, construction is all about (1) "Is it cost-effective?", (2) "Is it sturdy?" and (3) "How fast can you get it done?" and the last bit is the only "how" they care about in most cases. For sake of argument, my dad's house is very sturdy, but it's foundation was initially laid incorrectly and required repairs, and inside those walls is a freak show. "It's built stupid, but it works."
Quality over quantity is in high demand in the field you want to get into, but for the current stepping-stone you've chosen to get there - the construction industry - it is not, even though it should be.
Life is a bitch. I hope you can retake that test and pass it this time so that you can get the fuck out of there and onto better things.
As for the sad excuse of an HR department this mom-and-pop shop has, I think you stumbled into some bad luck. There are always going to be people who don't appreciate you for who you are, and in this case, that happened to be one of the most inconvenient people it could possibly be. I feel fortunate to have lucked out in the sense that most of the people who have struggled to appreciate me for me were just fellow college kids with fragile egos and pitiful self-discipline. "Considering my two least favorite people in my graduating class both want to be politicians, I think my moral compass is fine."

I don't understand how apprenticeship works in Europe but man I really hope you are able to get ahold of a IT/CS job. look at the bright side though, you get a break from all of this.
