Just go with a single RX 570. They're dirt cheap right now and would spank an SLI config of 660 Ti cards with much, much lower power draw.

The RTX 2060 cards perform quite well actually, just slightly better than a stock clocked 1070Ti, and slightly cheaper.

Not really a build log but my dad found his first computer the other day in our storage room, the Osborne 1. It was the first commercially successful portable microcomputer, and when I say 'portable' and 'microcomputer' I mean it's nearly the size of a Mid-tower. Back when my dad got this in 1982 it cost just shy of  $3,000cad. Unfortunately, we can't find the OS floppy disk so it won't boot up but I am considering buying one off eBay.

Thought I would share it with my fellow computer loving enthusiasts.

EDIT: With inflation, this computer is $7,070.67cad in today's money, so you could build one stupidly powerful computer.

DailyProcrastinator reacted to Fasauceome in Linus misses the mark on why iOS / Apple is not as good as Android
If Linus included all of this it sounds like it would have ended up as a 20 minute video. He opted to use forum feedback for a lot of the content, which I don't believe was a bad move.
Why include it in a list of things Linus missed then?

did he not bring up how there were different app stores to get access to much more content? pretty sure that was a big one.

Linus has used iPhones as his main daily device before, it's not like there are things about the shortcomings of apple that he doesn't know. He's talked about corporate greed and anticonsumerism from apple loads of times before, be it on techquickie, wan show, etc. This video wasn't about that, it was about user feedback and what people say the use android for.

The Core V21 mentioned above is the only cube case with windows and a horizontal motherboard layout that's under 60 euros.

For around 70 you can get the Bitfenix Prodigy M which comes ina variety of colors, however it's an "inverted layout" which means it's all upside down.

It was about time to do a table build, or should I say builds.
The name is simple, it will be called DRAGON TABLE. The design that I will add here isn't the exact how it will look like, but just so you can get the idea.

The specs are going to be insane alongside with two computers with two separate custom loops going into a 126cm wide table. Basically, it is going to be a tight squize, but everything is calculated.

Here is one pictures of the design and later in the post, after specs I will add more of them from different angles:

I have actually made a lot of progress since the last post but just haven't had time to post any updates. Such is life.

Anyway, next up: more butchering of the case.

I'm using a 280mm radiator in the front so I will be using two 140mm fans. As you can see the case is a bit restrictive for this size of fan.

    Chop, chop, chop

    Much better

I really don't like this area of the case in the photograph below with loads of holes for HDD shelves in it.
    1. It's useless as HHDs are so huge and cheap you only really need one or two and SSDs are rapidly expanding in capacity and dropping in price.
    2. It's useless as I have other plans for locating my HDD
    3. It's useless as I will have my coolant pump/reservoir, radiator and plumbing in the way so I couldn't fit drives there anyway.
    4. I want to mount my pump/reservoir here and the number of existing holes makes it a bit tricky.
    5. It looks ugly

My plan was to make two "blanking plates" to fit either side of this area to solve the above problems.

I had to cut off and drill out any parts that stood proud of the surrounding area. Here is the end result of the hacking. The rough looking paint is just to protect exposed metal, it's all going to get covered up.

Here are the blanking plates before paint. You'll see how they fit soon.

You are going overkill on the PSU, 650W is more than enough, 750W is the max I would go for. And your motherboard shouldn't cost more than your CPU, especially with an Intel system. Also, the H60 is a terrible cooler.

The R6/S2 are really expensive, honestly, you will love the Meshify.

I like the look of the 2x 140mm fans up front, otherwise, you need to remove a top panel off the PSU shroud and it doesn't look as good. Yeah, I have the Universal as well, looks great with the Blue CustoMod covers that Cryorig has. ML fans are my favorite, even prefer them over my Noctua F12's.

Stil good cable managment, build wuality and airflow of the Meshify C while being just slightly bigger for better radiator support.

But no, a new i5-9600k will not work with your motherboard, as others have said I would get the i7 (k skew assuming your motherboard supports overclocking) from your generation of Intel's lineup, used CPU's won't be overly expensive at all and you will get a good performance bump.
