  1. I have a 58" 4K TV I bought for black friday back in 2019. It's not the world's best TV. It has two HDMI 2.0 ports, fake HDR, and something called motion rate 120, it ain't 120Hz, but it's something. It has Android TV also, which is absolute dogshit. But it plays games just fine. I have an Xbox One S. I can watch my 4K Blu Rays and it plays Halo fine. I play my Switch on that TV. They all look good enough to me. All this arguing about TVs and TVs vs Monitors is silly. @CerealExperimentsLainis correct about consoles and TVs.
  2. Have they allowed Johnson & Johnson vaccines again in the states? I remember it being pulled cause some people got blood clots? It's the vaccine I got and my mom is wanting the same one since it's only one dose.
  3. I used to upgrade every two years. Regardless. Now I just use what I have and call it good. I don't game on my PC as much as I used to, so my current hardware meets my requirements.
  4. I like my CRKT Squid, idk if it's legal or not in Australia, but it's affordable and of decent quality. It's a smaller knife too, which I like personally.
  5. Came out to my mom today. It went surprisingly well. I'm still like... surreal about it. I'm glad to have gotten it off my chest though. Also got some pride stuff for once. It's a patch and a sticker. I posted the other stickers that came with it for fun.
  6. If you're going to get a GameCube, I would steer you towards a Wii also. The Wii (assuming you have the 1st gen model) is backwards compatible with the GameCube. You can use GameCube peripherals and memory cards with it. This vastly opens the library up. You have the entire GameCube and Wii library to play then. And no, the Wii isn't just shovelware like the meme. It has a lot of good games on it. Hell Nintendo Life just did a video on 100 good Wii games in 20 minutes. Plus there's the top Wii games as voted on by readers of Nintendo Life. There's a lot of good stuff on the Wii too. Now before you get frustrated with me going, "I ain't asking about the Wii, I want gamecube!" you still get that. But GameCube games are also going up in price. Wii is starting to hit that collectable sphere, but most of the good games are still affordable. PS3, lots of good games. I'm not as much of a sony gamer as I am Nintendo, but they do have a lot of good games. You can basically get any system and you also have backwards compatibility with the PS1. So that's two good libraries right there. IMO, the PS1 library doesn't hold up as well as the GameCube library does for the Wii, but that's up to opinions. PS1 games are also already peaked, so the more must have games kinda have a premium depending on the game. But you still got good exclusives and RPGs on the PS3. It really just depends.
  7. My PC is actually being used to game for like the first time in a year.  Damn.

  8. only for a few months. But we really hit it off and he's funny, cute, and he might tell bad jokes but they make me laugh. I finally just took the leap and told him I like him. He said he liked me too so we started going out.
  9. So I have a boyfriend... oops. Not really, he's great. Super cute. We have a lot of similar interests. He's big into Kingdom Hearts and we kinda bonded over that as I had been playing it and he'd hang out while I was playing it. Now we're both going through all the Halo games since he's never played Halo, almost done with 2.
  10. I've been trying to still wear my mask post getting the vaccine. Sometimes I honestly do forget to grab it when I'm in a big rush. That doesn't make it ok. And while I'm protected from covid, it doesn't mean I can't spread it. But even with that, half the reason I still wear a mask is Spoilered cause it can be considered kinda political, but it's just honestly the truth for my local area.
  11. There's a small handful of souls games I played. Dark Souls 3 and Lords of the Fallen I didn't care too much for. But I really liked Code Vein. See it depends for me. I love keyboard and mouse for sure. But like the Pro Controller and Xbox One controller, I like a lot. I don't mind the DS4 either, but I do prefer offset sticks. I don't actually have a console brand preference outside of Nintendo, more of an IP preference. Also outside of Halo and Gears of War, I typically prefer Sony's IPs to Microsofts... just that well.. Japan Studio is shut down and took the IPs I preferred
  12. see, I don't care much for Horizon, and outside of Gravity Rush and like, LocoRoco, to me Sony platformers just don't feel good. Like they don't play like good platformers to me, outside of Sly Cooper, but we aren't going to get anymore of those either. I don't care for Demon's Souls either cause I'm not a Souls fan. Outside of God of War, Sony doesn't really have anything that interests me. They have nothing really. Microsoft's games might be a year or two out, but they were coming in swinging.
  13. See, I'm the exact opposite. The Series X, and Microsoft's showcase of stuff they're making, makes me feel like Microsoft is coming out swinging much like the Xbox 360, and I'm hoping that they keep it up. Meanwhile the PS5 just doesn't seem exciting to me right now. I also don't care about 60fps and all that on single player games. It's cool, don't get me wrong, and I do appreciate that these games can do that now. It's just how I've always been about single player stories.
  14. I love my Vita but it's not my favorite console. It's not the biggest disappointment though
  15. God I can't stand Jim Ryan. I had hype for the PS5 originally. Then during all the build up he nukes Japan Studios and even now he's just shutting down studios or making them work for Naughty Dog basically. Plus every time I see the PS5, it gets uglier and uglier to me. Honestly almost all my hype for the PS5 is dead, I'll eventually get one but it's not a must have to play even the next God of War, as much as I loved GoW PS4. This. I know it's unpopular but last year when Microsoft had their big huge livestream of upcoming games for the Series X. That was hype as fuck. They might talk about some of the games some between trailers, but otherwise they just let it show off gameplay and/or the trailer. And it worked. I'm fucking hyped for what Microsoft has in the pipeline. To me it seems like Nintendo and Microsoft are the only ones that can figure out how to get these events to work right. You show off the game first, then talk about it. Not pause the action every few seconds to overly explain what's going on on screen. Like imagine if the OG Halo Infinite trailer was like "GRASS" "LOOK AT THE SKY" "THAT'S A HALO RING" "OMG ALIEN DINOSAUR" "MASTER CHIEF'S HELMET, THAT'S RIGHT IT'S MASTER CHIEF" "DID WE MENTION HALO" instead of just letting you see it and figure it out.
  16. Oh shit that's right. I actually forgot. At the same time, this doesn't excuse it, but I consider half the products that released in 2020 as a soft launch. They released on paper, but with all the issues with production and the global recession, they weren't truly available. But since they were released in 2020, AMD should support it. I just know they won't cause they don't care.
  17. Console/PC fanboys fanboy not because they're actually fans of that platform, but because they have buyer's remorse and have to justify it. I'm talking about the ones who defend the company no matter what. This isn't the same as Wii U fanboys going, "Switch has no games," and you point out how this is false (as an example). I'm talking like: "Jim Ryan shuts down Japan Studio" Sony ponies: YEAHHHH WHO CARES ABOUT JAPANESE GAMES WE GOT OUR GOD OF WAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRR "Sony still doesn't allow expanded storage for PS5 games" Sony ponies: YEAAAAHHHH WHO CARES, I DON'T NEED IT LIKE THOS XBOTS, I DON'T MIND WAITING TO PLAY A GAME FOR IT TO REINSTALL OR TRANSFER FROM THE EXTERNAL HARDIVE YAAHHHHHH "Sony charges $70 now instead of $60" Sony ponies: WE GOT THE HIGHEST OF QUALITIEST OF GAMES WE WILL SPEND ALL THE MONEIS YEAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH, ONLY XBOTS AND NINTENDRONES CARE ABOUT SPENDING $60 CAUSE THEIR GAMES SUX I'm not saying all sony fans are like this. They're just the easiest to pick out right now cause of all the stuff Sony's been doing. Just using these as examples. It's okay to still like the games a company makes, and even buy them, while being critical about the decisions the suits in corporate make.
  18. Supporting AM4 through 2020... looks at calendar It's 2021... I don't really give a shit then. It's a corporation, not your friend. It's not 2020, so I don't expect a single thing from any corporation what they promised years ago or what they promised for a year it no longer is. It sucks, sure, but like... we know these corporations don't care. I'll say my part on twitter sure, and maybe not even purchase AMD CPUs and motherboards, but ultimately that's all I can do.
  19. It sounds like you have a faulty console... which happens. I've owned 3 switches and none even had half the issues you're having. Also the Switch can transfer saves to and from the console, been able to do it with the micro SD card almost day 1, and Nintendo patched that in via USB like a year ago. It really does sound like you got a defective unit.
  20. Honestly, I hope Microsoft does. One for the novelty of there being a new "Sega" console in 2021, and two to just twist the screws on sony even more. Phil Spencer clearly also likes gaming, it was the same way with Satoru Iwata. Granted Iwata had some stuff that straight didn't make sense, but it led ultimately to the Switch (and without getting into all about that), it's my favorite console of all time. Sony clearly needs a leader like that again.
  21. dude it hurts. I loved LocoRoco on the PSP, the Hot Shots Golf series. I'm not even a big sports fan but a fun wacky sports game like Hot Shots or the Mario sports series are always fun to play. Gravity Rush obviously on the Vita, and GR2 on the PS4 (which, imo, is the best game Sony released on the PS4). It just sucks and honestly, I do hope Jim Ryan is looked at the same way Don Mattrick is, he deserves it at this point. From focusing only on "the biggest of budgets, the triplest of A's, the most third personiest of over the shoulders, the most westernest of western studio releases, the most who would play this-iest of older games." Still just baffles me he said that about the old Gran Turismo games
  22. I've always been primarily a Nintendo gamer with Microsoft and Sony being my secondary/tertiary systems. For the 8th gen I had the Wii U (later Switch), and then I got a PS4 and eventually another Xbox One S. (I had to sell my phat xbox one in college for money). With my collections being Switch and Wii U the biggest, PS4 after that, and Xbox One the smallest. It's looking like it'll be reversed this generation. Microsoft is more consumer friendly, they have the more powerful system (imo, this is mainly coming down to ergonomics, not tech in the controller), the better controller (between XSX and PS5), more exclusives lined up that we know about, and generally just a better attitude overall. Sony has already all but officially killed my favorite Sony IP (Gravity Rush), and while hyped for God of War, the fact that they killed Japan Studio, especially Gravity Rush, and a lot of other series of theirs that I love, has killed my hype on the PS5. Plus, this is subjective, but the PS5 gets uglier every time I look at it. I love two tone/white designs over black. It doesn't show scratches or dust as much. But this thing looking like someone taped two paper plates to a WiFi router just don't do it for me chief. The way I'm looking at this generation now. We know Microsoft will make a limited edition console for Halo Infinite. That's when I'll get my Series X. I'll wait for the eventual PS5 slim, cause I don't need a console the size of an Abrams tank set up in my living room, and buy it used.
  23. So looking at the highlights of the Apple event.

I really do like the M1 based iPad Pro, but I'm still happy with my 2018 iPad Pro.  I'll upgrade once procreate can't keep up with what I draw.

    Those new iMacs tho.

I want that orange one, or the green one, or the pink one.

Those new iMacs will certainly be very capable computers

  24. I agree. I remember when In n Out came to Texas. I like a greasy, juicy burger as much as the next person. But this just... pooled grease. Like a disgusting amount of grease. It just tasted like oil and fat.
  25. They remade it for 3DS, so it makes sense tbh. But I get you.
