THEPRO | xTreme-CM.ORG got a reaction from keik in UPS Crazy Spikes on Gaming. is my PSU dying?
10 years ago i did have an i3 and AMD Radeon HD6700 and my powersupply was overkill for that build but i did buy it to use for my upgrades from time to time.
    i3 to i7
    RADEON 6700- GTX960 - GTX1070 - RTX 2080 Ti.

So i will buy a 1000W+ PSU from EVGA or SEASONIC for another 10 years. 😎

Can't argue there.. Dell disks are overpriced IMO. I actually read up more on it and turns out it isn't as simple as updating the firmware. It is finding the firmware that works with your disks. That sounds like an incredible pain in the butt.

my logitech G110 would like to have a word with you.. and my siemens-nixdorf keyboard is waving its cane at the display..

joking aside, sounds like you got a bad keyswitch, if you're comfortable with disassembling the entire thing, desoldering the bad key, sourcing a replacement one, and soldering it back in that'd be the way to go..
if you're not brave enough, there's also the option of getting one of those canned air things, removing the keycap, and blasting the key with delicious toxic gasses. i've seen that work.. no explanation on why however..

coming to say, could just be a cracked solder joint, which brings up the soldering iron again..

TLDR: these are the possible issues:
    - dirt made it onto the switch contact
    - switch is broken/worn out
    - cracked solder joint
    - other PCB failure (cracked via, corroded trace, etc..)

You would on 16:9 video (like tv shows), but in nearly all games you will run at the native 21:9 aspect ratio and resolution.

Even in AAA games the support is very mixed it's simply not worth doing unless you're getting the other 1070 incredibly cheap, a single GPU solution is always going to be preferred

If nothing else wait for the 1080ti to come out, although vega naturally saves you money on the display, you can use a free-sync display with an nvidia card, you just don't get free-sync

look at the benchmarks here, especially the 1% and .1% frames, which can indicate stuttering and other issues

In the majority of tests here the 1070s are hardly faster than a single 1080 due to poor scaling in games, most of the time your 2nd GPU will end up being useless

Black Ops 3 is about the only game here with really good dual GPU support for both AMD/Nvidia, but no one really plays that anymore...RIP

THEPRO | xTreme-CM.ORG reacted to Oshino Shinobu in HDMI 2.1 in current graphics cards?
    No.

To clarify: HDMI 2.0 adopters will automatically receive the HDMI 2.1 specification as it is licenced under the HDMI version 2 addendum. However, it requires a controller and firmware update in order to work, so current products with HDMI 2.0 will not be able to utilise HDMI 2.1. It is down to manufacturers, both of displays and graphics adaptors to implement the HDMI 2.1 specification once it is officially released at some point in Q2 2017.

Some of the features of HDMI 2.1 will require a new 48G cable, but others will not. Things like eARC and VRR can work on existing category 2 cables, provided they are operating at a supported resolution. 8K will require the new 48G cable.

EDIT: We're not likely to see devices really starting to use the HDMI 2.1 specification until 2018 or later. The specification is very forward thinking, with things like 8K 120Hz, despite 4K only just becoming more common. I wouldn't be surprised if even the next generation of GPUs don't implement HDMI 2.1. Not to mention the fact that it also relies on content to catch up before it really becomes useful.

HDMI.org has an FAQ on the subject: http://www.hdmi.org/manufacturer/hdmi_2_1/index.aspx
There's also quite a good CNET article highlighting some of the key points https://www.cnet.com/news/hdmi-2-1-what-you-need-to-know/

Well he's running two 1070's, so I think he will be fine FPS wise.
I would recommend the Asus PB279Q as well.

The two LG's look like their only difference is one having 2 HDMI versus the other having 1 VGA and 1 HDMI. So unless you need any of the two port combinations specifically, just pick the cheapest you can find.

Between the two ASUS displays, I'd pick the 27inch model since it's IPS. I can't find any reason to recommend a non-IPS display unless you're going for full gaming oriented monitors with very high refresh rates etc. But it's a little more expensive.

Overall, I think I'd pick the LG. Better value for the price.

PS: IPS is exceptional for content creation as it has very solid color reproduction. Your gtx 1070 will struggle a little running AAA games on 4k and maintaining 50-60fps, but 4K is also excellent for content creation.

It won't work natively, since the GTX 1070 requires one 8-Pin PCIe connector. However, there are dual 6-Pin to 8-Pin adapters. Sometimes these come with GPUs in the box. You can see what accessories are bundled with specific models, chances are such an adapter will be in the box. If not you can always purchase them separately off ebay for like 2-3 bucks.

Look at your part number. Your first 3 are 2400 and the last is 2133. You have different hardware based on part number listings.
