you'd get like a 20% bump at best, wait for Vega and the 1080ti lol, those will be like 30-50% faster than what you got now potentially, 50% being like DOOM vulkan since AMD GPUs wreck that game

The only dual GPU set I can half recommend is 2 480s, because they're cheap and go on sale a lot, saw a decent 480 for $160 the other day, so then even if you don't get scaling, you have a $200 GPU doing nothing, rather than a $400 GPU

Plus 2 480s if you can hit 1400mhz at reasonable voltage is a decent value, kind of, not really, really depends still.

It has nothing to do with Nvidia or AMD for the most part it's all in the game engines, less than 1% of the market uses 2 GPUs, no real reason to bother with it

DX12/Vulkan should do a bit to change that, make it easier to do dual GPUs potentially, but there's no too much into it just yet

Hi,

I am in doubt which one to buy. Because there are many in the market.

I want to buy a 4K our 5K Display

I Will do Gaming and video editing.

Maybe this: https://www.asus.com/Monitors/MG28UQ/

Someone know of some desktop displays up to 600$ ??

My PC can handle it well..

Go with the monitor you chose https://www.asus.com/Monitors/MG28UQ/ it will be the best you can get for that price.

Thats a TN panel, for editing purposed he needs a 4k IPS display. 5k right now isn't worth it, 4k is still golden shiny and far above what is considered average. Go with a 4k IPS panel.

I would rather agree on what we share, than fight on what we don't. - Myself

No its not. TN have worse color quality and pixel density, thus they are usually used on gaming/lower budget screens as they can support a much higher refresh rate for cheaper as the graphics don't has to push it self itself as hard. IPS have much better color quality and pixel density at he cost of usually having lower refresh rates, or at least costing much more to have higher refresh rates. IPS also has better viewing angles, as with a TN panel, unless looking directly at it you usually see color bleeding on the edges.

tn have better reponce times generally so better for gaming. ips have better colours generally so better for picture and video editing, stuff that needs colour accuracy

Your 1070 might not be able to play 4k games at the highest settings. I would recommend going a step down to a 1440p ultrawide or even 1440p 16:9 75 or 144hz. Here is my pick for the ultrawide:

High refresh rate:

You're going to want an IPS panel if at all possible

and I'd highly suggest just saving money on a free-sync display like this one at $400, and Upgrading to Vega instead of trying to do dual 1070s

Depends, do you want better colors or a higher refresh rate?

You said " Upgrading to Vega instead of trying to do dual 1070s"

One question. What is "Vega"

Why dual GTX 1070 is bad??

Well Dual GPUs usually has issues, namely  most games don't really support using 2 GPUs very well.

Vega is AMD's next GPU line to replace Fury and Compete against the 1070/1080, We don't know too much about it yet, but hopefully it's faster than a 1080, and does 4k 60hz gaming well, since right now you need a titan XP to really push 4k gaming

The main reason for going AMD is for saving money on free-sync, as linked about Free-sync 27" 4k IPS is $400, while G-sync below is $800
https://pcpartpicker.com/product/TzfmP6/asus-monitor-pg27aq

If you want a display that'll be better for gaming, Pixio makes a 1440p 144hz IPS free-sync display that's under $400

Or for slightly over your budget LG has a 3440x1440p Ultra wide display at $650 with free-sync
https://pcpartpicker.com/product/jYQRsY/lg-34um88c-p-340-60hz-monitor-34um88c-p

AOC makes one at around $500 without any Sync technology

and

This is a 4K Monitor Right??

And the "SUPPORTS FREESYN" is only for AMD right?

Would be only AMD ya, Nvidia seems to hate freedom

Those are 1440p 21:9 displays, something like 25% less pixels than 4k, but they have nicer scaling than a 27" 4k display, the 27" 4k display is just going to be super sharp

But you're probably going to end up replacing the 1070 at some point in the near future, because it's really not a 4k card, and 3440x1440p is pushing it pretty hard

It's going to be fairly game dependent weather you hit 60fps or above just slapping on the High/Ultra Preset

Even in AAA games the support is very mixed it's simply not worth doing unless you're getting the other 1070 incredibly cheap, a single GPU solution is always going to be preferred

If nothing else wait for the 1080ti to come out, although vega naturally saves you money on the display, you can use a free-sync display with an nvidia card, you just don't get free-sync

look at the benchmarks here, especially the 1% and .1% frames, which can indicate stuttering and other issues

In the majority of tests here the 1070s are hardly faster than a single 1080 due to poor scaling in games, most of the time your 2nd GPU will end up being useless

Black Ops 3 is about the only game here with really good dual GPU support for both AMD/Nvidia, but no one really plays that anymore...RIP

WTF NVIDIA?? I will not do SLI.

Streetguru Thank you for opening my eyes.

But.. i have one GTX 1070. How am I going to solve this?

I think I'm going to sell the GTX 1070 and buy a GTX 1080 Ti... i dont know what to do.
