  3. Ryan, internet points are a hell of a drug. Essentially, me and my friends on Discord were joking around about 'Linus (insert verb here) Tips' and i was like, "HAHA lemme do this on the forum but not actually cuz thats stoopid". After receiving my internet points, I went back to the tab, but instinctively hit the big orange button instead of closing the tab, thanks brainfart. The rest is history.
  4. Mission accomplished 😎

  5. Hello all. I was joking around just a few minutes ago, where this mistake happened: it might be a good idea to prevent things like this from happening lol, as with some people not being very old on this forum, it might not be the best way they find out about... fun times..... to put it appropriately

  7. 1.) Macs CAN get viruses, it is totally a myth that they can't. Turns out, it is estimated that over 700k macs are infected by the flashback trojan, mainly because the owners think that macs can't get viruses. On top of that, Apple is pretty lazy with patching security vulnerabilities (for example, the 6 year old MySQL vulnerability which doesn't take much to fix on iphones) and studies have shown that it is quite often that they fail updating the firmware and software after the patches that do get released. As long as you aren't a complete numbnut though, you should be fine with Malwarebytes if you really want to. TLDR: Dont be an idiot with your mac, sometimes Apple does it for you.
  8. Ok so basically,,,,,

My AP Computer Science A Teacher told me that if I can successfully cheat on her exam, I get extra credit. If I get caught? I just have to redo it with a different exam lol.

  11. Hey everyone! Essentially, I want to use this to allow for people at swim meets to keep track of what event it is, as it is common place for school swim meets that you aren't in the pool area and can't see the scoreboard, making it a bit of a hassle to see what the event number is. To do this, I have come up with a good system, but i'm not sure how to actually code it. I do have some experience with Bootstrap and Web Development, but when it comes to notifications, i get fairly lost. Basically, I want to have a user visit a website, and click a button to confirm that they want to receive notifications. Then, I want the website to send a cURL GET request to see if anything is updated, and if so, to send a notification to the user. I know on android, as long as you have the tab open in chrome (even if you aren't in the app itself) the notifications will be sent, but i wasn't sure about if it works in the safari app on ios or on ios at all. If anybody knows how to implement a solution or how the notifications work on ios, that would be great. NOTE: I already know how to make an API, so that isnt an option.
