It sounds like she was trying to say that vector images are different from raster images. Raster images are based on pixels of information. A vector graphic uses math to draw shapes using points, lines and curves. So whereas a raster image of a 1” x 1” square at 300 dpi will have 300 individuals pieces of information, a vector image will only contain four points, one for each corner; the computer will uses math to “connect the dots” and fill in all of the missing information. Vector tends to be better for items you'd scale often such as logos and such. It all shows up as pixels because of the inherent nature of monitors just like you can have a CMYK color image but it shows up RBG because the monitor is RBG.

I'd check the screen mode (Zoom, Wide, Normal, Panorama, et cetera). It may be set to Zoom, cutting off the edges of the HD picture.

As we all know, Apple Pay is bringing NFC to many new companies. Well, one day I decided to go to Panera Bread during my lunch break at work. I saw that they adopted the support for Apple Pay, and of course knowing that NFC is NFC, I take out my Note 3 and try to pay. The cashier (or whatever they technically are) quickly stopped me and said "Oh, that isn't an iPhone, our systems only work with Apple Pay." I looked at her and just explained the technology and that a standard is a standard. She continued to refuse and called her manager over, who took the cashier's side. I told them I'd make a deal with them. If my phone works, my next bill is on the house, if it doesn't, I'll order a lunch for the staff currently at my store (there were 10 other people working at my store at the time). They agreed and I paid with my Note 3. Lo and behold, it worked. My next meal would then be free, and both the manager and employee were noticeably embarrassed as hell. Due to their doubts and attempts to stop me, a line was starting to fill out behind me of hungry customers. After seeing my success, several of them attempted the same deal (they didn't get it), but they did pay with NFC, and the cashier's face just grew more and more red as the next 3 customers payed with their NFC enabled Android device.

And to boot, they didn't give me a set dollar amount I could spend on my next bill, so I went in and got a $40 lunch for free, as opposed to my usual $10 meal.

A few months ago, I receive a call from an older customer stating that he bought a video card, and needed it set-up for his videos. It was a little odd, but not unheard of; sometimes they want me to set-up custom profiles, OC it, or generally give them the "thumbs up" when it's good-to-go. So I arrived at his house, and asked him to show me the lucky benefactor for the GTX 970 he purchased. He picks up a Macbook Air, and says "Here it is". (Sadly, it's happened before, so I wasn't as surprised as I would have been in the past) Attempting very hard to not audibly sigh, or anything else; I politely explained to him that the video card simply cannot fit into the Macbook, and was designed for desktop PC's.

THIS is what makes the story so great; He then asks, "Well then how am i supposed to transfer my videos to the card if it doesn't fit? I have this other drive I plug in to transfer my photos and music, but I need something to transfer my videos, so I bought this video card." He had a 2TB external drive he had been using for quite some time. However, he was under the impression it was only for music and photos - and that he needed a video card to transfer videos.

After doing my ABSOLUTE BEST to explain to him the folly(without being negative), he just burst out laughing - called himself an idiot, and gave me the "paperweight" for my troubles.

All it means is that anyone with any actual reach (100,000+ subs or so) will never play Nintendo games again. Hell, they lost 30 million potential customers at PewDiePies channel alone, another 12 million at Roosterteeth.

Honestly its absurd , youtube video creators give FREE advertisement most of the times to companies and games.

It would be like AMD or NVIDIA saying

"Hmm you want to review our product , we made it so we need a cut of the add revenue"

    Makes no sense at all.

Do they not want free promotion and word of mouth?

    This just damages their reputation.
