RedWulf got a reaction from cazetofamo in Need Help Converting Text to XML
From here theres
Assuming you know the basic format of the files as well as the structure of the files/folders then you should be able to use a bash/sh script to work through the txts and convert them using the command line tool or which ever language you prefer. My bash is too rusty to even attempt the code right now, but just a script to recursively check the folder system for the text files, run the program/tool on it as called for, and save it with the appropriate name. In windows, something like this

RedWulf got a reaction from YedZed in Because RGB
Finally got to build a modern computer for myself rather than for others. I had originally planned on just going as black as possible and adding a strip of RGB LEDs for lighting(i7 6700, 8gb, msi procarbon)...but, I got into a pissing contest of specs with my friend having to one up him and I ended up with a a rather "lit" appearance in doing so. Its nothing spectacular, though I was previously using a core duo with 2gb ram and 250gb hdd. It took me a few months to get everything and get it running, but I have about $1500 or so in it counting additonal fans, cables, and led strips
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/Mztrnn
And yes I'm aware the CPU power cable running overtop of the board is abit cringe worthy, but the case is large and the cable wouldn't reach when routed around the back. I have ordered an extension, but it hasnt cause any issues and its secure, so I may not even bother correcting it until I have additonal reason to tear back into it.

3rd party tools do detect it though? It's likely just not formatted or formatted in an improper manner for windows, use something like partition wizard or whatever tool you like and reformat it.

Not quite, while you can forward you remote connection over the internet. 1) security 2)the time it takes to send and receive both input and video will be like 10 second lag and latency from hell
If you were on the same local network then yes, but over even just 2 hops, you'd be suffering to even walk about

I believe so, print will print the return of a function or of a whatever if given, not the actually program. Just call the function, no need to print it.

RedWulf got a reaction from damiendmk in Install windows 10 on new pc?
Clean install simply means not an update, like starting new and fresh.
For windows 10 you can
1)buy an install cd - all you do is boot to the cd and install through the guided interface
2)Buy a product key and make a usb to install yourself (google install windows usb) linus did a video I believe
Not the best, but this should work for you

RedWulf got a reaction from vorticalbox in Should programming/computer science be mandatory in primary/secondary education?
I think it should be made an "exploratory" as many schools already do. A short partial semester class that students take to see if they have an interest in it, then switch to another field such as art, then something like shop, etc
I do however think that if a school or state requires students to have an art credit then they should require a technical credit as well or allow the two to be interchangeable as a "technical art". No reason the computer nerd should have to paint if the artist mustn't code.

Was the iso/install from the official site? If not and its some tweaked version then it may be different.
Are you sure the keyboard set up was right and hasn't been changed?
caplock/numlock
Are you logging in on the machine or over ssh?
Try re-installing since its a fresh install anyway.
