robotsalad got a reaction from IAcKI in Pewdiepie! - We built you a gaming PC!
did you read the comments on that article or watch the video they cited? he never spoke chinese or made fun of chinese people. he wasn't making fun of the virus. he was putting a humorous spin on the serious situation he was in when he was on break. And every single comment is pointing out the glaring misinformation in the article. if you're behind that kind of journalism I'm surprised you still have motor function in your fingers with a skull that thick.

tomahawk has an rgb edge on the pcb and a couple RGB headers. and in stead of the ram he linked you try something like this: great timings for ryzen however it is not on the QVL so be aware of that. but many people have said it works well on their tomahawk

robotsalad got a reaction from aexel05 in Cant use keyboard to start bios or bootloader
shut down pc, switch power supply off, touch the two pins labeled JBAT1 on your motherboard with a screwdriver at the same time for about 10 seconds. that's what I do at least. pretty sure this is right, if you have any doubts consult your motherboard manual.

Hello @cl4nk .
It's well balanced, but i'd try to get a B450-A PRO with a Ryzen 5 3600 instead of the 2600X

also if he does get the 3600 he should get 3600 MHz CL16 RAM. i'm pretty sure this kit works well on the msi b450 tomahawk even though it is not on their list. it is a new kit and they don't test every set of memory

Reddit might be OP's best bet since the Classifieds section here doesn't allow selling of game codes.

have you looked at the VRM graphs that someone posted on here? just making sure you're recommending a motherboard that has capable power delivery for all of current ryzen CPUs in case this guy wants to upgrade ever.

Even if they weren't used up, it is difficult to redeem them so it's better to not factor them into your buying decision. Sorry I can't be more help but that's my experience.

The scythe mugen is better and quieter.

The ASUS ZenBook was at one point made on the same production line as the MacBook Air because Pegatron was the ODM for both devices. (That's right; Apple doesn't actually engineer everything they make, even though they like to throw that "Designed by Apple" verbiage on everything.)

robotsalad reacted to nick name in Corsair Vengeance LPX 3200 C16 OC to 3400 C16 legit?
If all you did was change the speed then that seems completely possible. If you leave all the sub timings on Auto then the board will likely set the sub timings to compensate for the higher speed. If you want all of that extra 5% speed then you'll want to set the sub timings manually. You could go in and optimize them all yourself or you can do the lazier bit and set the kit back to 3200MHz with the subs on Auto and then check to see what the board sets them too with the ASRock Congifurator mentioned earlier. Then input those into BIOS and change the speed to 3400MHz. Good chance you will need some extra voltage once you've done that.

I've tryed to overclock my ram once... but did I saw more fps? Nope, If it gave more fps were like 1-2... not worth it in my opinion. It will boost your cinebench score, but on gaming is the same... at least on Intel.

If you're on Intel I'd just push the frequency first before the timings
Max memory voltage I'd run 24/7 on DDR4 is 1.5V

I signed up to thank you as well, I was scared my graphics card was fried untill i tried HDMI and it worked.
Taking the power off my monitor solved the problem, against my expectations.
Thanks again.

I also signed up to thank you. I've searched for 40 minutes with no luck. I can't believe this same advice wasn't discovered sooner from a search. I've been reading advice on cables, monitors, and bios settings before bumping into this. Anyways, I'm really surprised this fixed it, not sure how, but all that matters is that it worked. Thank you!

I also signed up just to say thank you. I was about to purchase an HDMI -> Display Port adapter and/or RMA the monitor... disconnected it one minute and bam, works!
I am now really, really curious on how this could be happening - have had this monitor since almost 3 years and never had a problem!

Try disconnecting the monitor from power for a minute to reset it.
