The video is outdated as there is already a new and better video card came out. If you are going for a 4k setup, get the Nvidia GTX 980 ti. Its currently on preorder starting today.

Getting another 770 would be better, It would get you performance in the lines of the 980 or so.

Yea man @ 1080p stick with the 770 until 980 ti or AMD 390X comes out.  If you must...try SLI....but you can wait it out me thinks.

If you're just gaming on 1080p, stick with your 770

Unless you want 120+fps you'll be fine

Oh I see I would go with the CL9 kit then (just wondered why you need 16GBs).

    CL9.

You can probably OC it to 2133 with 10-11-10 timings where the CL10 ram would require 11-11-11 timings.

I have the CL 9 kit at 2133 on my 990fx-UD3. And it's only $5 dollars more, why not?

Mantle is suppose to work on all GCN architectures. That includes many if not all 7000 Series aswell.

R7 260X (HD7790 replacement), the 290 and 290X are based off the slightly newer GCN 1.1 architecture and therefore support the TrueAudio.
7970, 270X and 280x are based off the GCN 1.0 architecture and thats why they don't support the TrueAudio.

Definitely worth a wait though if you can. Its always a see-saw battle between AMD and Nvidia. Nvidia will have to adjust the 770 price considering its ~$100 more expensive and benchmarks 10% less. (Mantle should push that further)

beerisyum got a reaction from Eyal in Beats Solo By Dr Dre Review
Style and sound can be subjective including whether something feels like a quality material. If you like the look and the sound then rock on. I personally find that you can find headphones that sound as good as or better than Beats for much less than $100 and for the same price as Beats get a much nicer set of headphones. Again it's subjective and given there is a stigma in a way, nice of you still putting up a review.

Not all Christians think this way. Far from it.
I believe that everyone should be entitled to marry whomever they wish. Otherwise it's unequal.
The idea of marriage is heavily ingrained into our heads from the moment we are born. Television, radio, theatre, literature, art, news, friends, family and others continuously shove it down our throats, really. There is an expectation that when you find someone you love you should marry them.
When I find someone I love, I want to marry him. I do not want to draw unnecessary attention to my sexuality by having a 'civil' or 'domestic partnership'. They both sound so clinical and emotionless, like being given a number rather than a name at birth. Should anyone enquire about my personal life I would want to tell them quite simply 'I'm happily married'.
I don't want to be treated differently. I am a man like any other who happens to be attracted to other men. That shouldn't matter whatsoever, and forbidding us the right to marry is nothing more than segregation, no-matter the reasoning or history behind it.

Read through this thread and a big gold star to everyone who has kept it from getting derailed and avoided having it turn into a flame war.

Stuff like this makes me so proud of this community. Anywhere else this would have been a poop show...

beerisyum reacted to Paul9631 in Ivy Bridge-E X79 Compatability Confusion
So, though I have been working with computers for a long time, it's only within the last year or so that I have really gotten into the hardware side of things. I have a 3930k in a Asus P9X79 Pro, and I keep seeing stuff about how the new IB-E CPUs will be LGA 2011 parts, but because I haven't been around for very long, I don't understand exactly what will happen regarding compatability between generations of CPUs that share a socket. From what I understand, there will be a new X99 chipset, but the new IB-E CPUs should also work in X79 mobos after a BIOS/UEFI update. However, obviously, things like DDR4 RAM will not work on X79 mobos. Basically, my questions are things like:
What will a IB-E CPU be able to do and not do in an X79 mobo?
What advantages are expected out of X99 that aren't possible on X79?
Will SB-E CPUs run on X99 mobos?
I don't plan on upgrading, but I would like to understand what all is happening.
    Thank you in advance!
