Is it not worth it to buy a 3070ti for $280 USD? I've found used 3080s to be a lot more expensive. Used prices for a 3070ti seem to be about $100 higher
-
Yeah this is just in the test system I was going to bring. My main rig is a 12600k.
-
Its an older EVGA one. My main PSU is a Seasonic 850w so no issue there, just that case is so large it would be a hassle to take it to test on a facebook deal.

Hi all, Found what I think is a great deal on a FE 3070ti for $280USD on FB Marketplace. My test bench system has a 500w PSU and a 4770k. Obviously a 500W PSU isnt good long term but it should be fine to test the cards function right? Just gonna plug it in and make sure it outputs. Do I need to run 3DMark? Not sure that's necessary.

In town for CES, wondering if there is some sort of meetup either with LTT guys or just forum users.

Hello all, Trying to see if anyone has any fiber cable kits and/or knows of any good ones. Need an about a 350 foot fiber cable with ST connectors on it. Need to see if I can pick up a kit and take a day to learn how to do it or if anyone has one or knows someone. Willing to pay for a plane ticket and hotel costs to help out with a job.

I have been using 4x WD Blue 1 TB for the better part of 2+ years now. No issues yet. I have them in a raid array so if one does kick the fan its theoretically salvageable. Plus I took them from a Surveillance system our office had for a while. May not be smart, but it works for now

I use the BM-800 or whatever the guy who got it from china calls it. https://www.amazon.co.uk/PC-Microphone-Professional-Condenser-Recording/dp/B074W3ZVGG/ref=sr_1_6?s=computers&ie=UTF8&qid=1526346432&sr=1-6&keywords=microphone Its decent mine came with a stand and I run it via XLR into a small behinger mixer I have. Solid for about 50 USD

TheGeeker replied to uncfan07's topic in CPUs, Motherboards, and Memory
Where did this board come from? New? used? Looks to be like other have said pulled up from the solder. How does it look on the back? -
Why doesn't apple automate production of their products.
TheGeeker replied to lavablade02's topic in General Discussion
I am not sure but for me at least I have only heard bad things of their production operations in China. -
Question: how should i wipe my old hard drive?
TheGeeker replied to SilentShadows's topic in Storage Devices
reformat or disk mgmt, i usually connect my old drives to my test bench, go into disk management and just wipe the partition, then reassign the drive- 4 replies
