    Summary
The bad news keeps on coming as they are revealing how broad the data the hackers got from the attack, and it seems to keep on getting bigger as it is speculated that 23andMe isn't fully honest on what happened.

    My thoughts
While Linus was right about the consequences this leak could have, we weren't (and probably still aren't) aware of how big and how many people have been affected by this attack. I personally feel more stressed about it since I don't know if anyone related to me did such a test and had me included in the data breach. Also, I'm not even sure that 23andMe is even aware of how many people are affected, and they also don't seem to care about it whatsoever.

Just realized that DOTA is online (I don't play that game) it could be the game who has it capped or a network lag spike.

    That's called an unstable overclock...

You can do both at the same time, and both will help, but not significantly. I dropped my voltage and brought up my clock speed and it stayed stable, but the FPS gains were minimal, MAYBE 5 fps on average

I believe driver 472.12 was the last to support Windows 8.1, and never supported the RTX 3060. You should probably just upgrade to Windows IoT Enterprise - 8.1 Embedded Industry Pro is officially EOL and is no longer receiving any security patches.

    Day 449 (literally) of using a RX6700XT.

    Driver crashes: 0
    Performance issues: 0
    Bugs: 1

The radeon software wouldn't open once. After a force quit and restard it did.
How often does that happen with Nvidia software? Already 2 times with the Nvidia control panel since I owned an RTX 3060 laptop, which hasn't even been 2 weeks.

Honestly even after owning a GTX 760, 980 SLI, 1080 and now the RTX 3060, I would probably choose AMD again if the performance/price ratio was at least similar.

    Just my experience.

Kevo05s got a reaction from Natedanp in New build, CPU overheating with Kraken x53
From your pictures and description, it does sound like a dead pump.

The last thing you could try to test it:
Remove your AiO from your PC and install your old cooler to prevent any damage/overheating. Then plug just the pump in pump AiO plug on your motherboard and the USB plug in your USB (as you already did).

Then, boot into windows and download HWmonitor. From there, you should be able to see the RPM signal from the pump header. If it IS at 0 RPM, it's a dead pump. But if the pump is working, it's an improper mount.

Then, I would re-mount it for sure, and triple check there wasn't a "peel sticker before installing" left on the block (it happens to the best of us). Once remounted, if Windows and everything is installed, I'd boot the machine and keep an eye on the temps. As long as it doesn't go above 85, you're fine to check RPM signal on the pump.

Also, while a stock cooler isn't recommended for your setup, it would do fine for just light operations (like checking signal) if you know anyone who has a spare one from Intel.

I believe most BIOS now shows RPM signals in their PC meter section, which would prevent you from overheating your system. A failed pump will send a 0RPM signal

After looking closer in your provided pictures, the metal pins from the pump wire in the headers seems to stick out of the connector... I'd undo the cable management you've done to give the wire some slack and push the wires IN the plug, just in case it's the contacts on the plug that aren't properly touching the pins on the motherboard.

I've recently had a similar issue with a GPU power plug, the solution could be that simple

In one of the picture, there was an option called "Water pump+ control" that was always disabled. Enable it, and set the pump to DC mode, always 100%.
You understood correctly, but checked the wrong plug haha. I meant the 3 wire plug that you connected in the AiO pump header!

I really hope this fixes it, but it's not looking good buddy 😕
THe main reason I still have hope is because the fans aren't showing either, and your fans are spinning

Also depends on the noise output you want. Both Fractals are really loud when you pull 400w out of it. The Corsair SF600 is inaudible up to 400w and silent up to 500w. If noise output don't bother you, the 500w Fractal will do the job.

Kevo05s reacted to GuiltySpark_ in Is it worth upgrading to water-cooling?
If you are unhappy with the noise levels of that stock cooler (I thought it was terrible) then yes, otherwise no. You don't need to go with an AIO to get an improvement there, btw. There are a number of air coolers that would be an improvement in performance and sound.

That being said, I like AIO's because I just they're neat and in an ITX system like mine, you can get high end performance to fit easier than with a large heatsink.

First hard line build inside a mini itx PC, pretty happy with the results! This is not the final form, but the lack of availability for a GPU makes it very hard to complete. Case is very spacious for a mini itx case, and I loved every bits of it. Phanteks did a fantastic job building this case (it's a MetallicGear Neo Mini V2)!

we hated the anti-rgb build because you fucked it all up, you started with a white case to PAINT black that made it all blotchy and shitty looking, then you killed the components with paint instead of just getting black parts to start with.

It's not safe, but it isn't "unsafe" per say. Cardboard is a low-voltage insulator, but if something would catch on fire, it wouldn't hold the fire inside the PC, like a metal case would.
