Well looking at ziftr.com it shows that you can buy computer components on the site and they're actually pretty cheap. My guess is that Ziftr will want to (obviously) make it to where you can buy things on the site using ziftrcoin. The whole point of me mining is just so I can find a way to fund getting new tech to play around with, so this would be pretty neat once they implement it.

Based on the amount of verification they are asking for, I'm thinking they are fairly secure. I like more verification. I also have a very secure password and two-factor authentication enabled so you have to have my phone or a damn lucky guess to log in after figuring out my complex password.

Even then, don't expect too much as it's based on contribution as to how much you get. If you want to get even more coins, go to the console drop down menu in the client, and open debug window. Type in 'setusepok true' (without the apostrophes) and hit enter. You'll start getting 3.9 each time.

Very misleading to compare it to a xbox 360 and not a xbox one.

Not quite sure about anyone else, but I've been following ZiftrCoin for some time now. 
They want to make their own store where each ZiftrCoin is worth $1 minimum. I'm currently using the ZiftrWallet Mobile Beta, a fairly nice system, though I was confused by a few things. 
When it comes to ZiftrCoin mining, I just happened to be checking my email when they sent out the notice that the desktop client was running. I was CPU mining with my i5 4670K @4Ghz with about 350 kH/s. I continued to let my PC mine for the remainder of the day, and through the night. I ended up with about 25 ZiftrCoins. Each mining find nets about 3.7 coins, and each coin takes about two and a half hours to be verified at the moment. I'm rather excited for the potential of this coin, personally. I plan to mine more after I've got a better cooler (possibly something that will be helped by the use of ZiftrCoin in the future?) and really think this coin could become the next mainstream coin.

Typically failed hardware wouldn't cause it to power off at BIOS. And you mentioned sometimes it doesn't even get that far? Sounds like either a motherboard issue or a power supply issue.
