RayhanAli reacted to Scottonpc in Mechanical Keyboard
I'm looking for a mechanical gaming keyboard to replace my old membrane keyboard, there's a lot of choice so I'm not sure. I play CSGO and my budget is around £70 - £80. Thank you.

RayhanAli reacted to Mindstab Thrull in Mechanical Keyboard
First, determine which type of switches are best for you. When I was looking to get my keyboard upgraded to mechanical last year, I hit my local computer store and talked to the employee. He let me try out some keyboards so I would be able to find the right kind of switch. I ended up going with Cherry MX Blues and I enjoy how the feel compared to the other types. Once you've determined switch types, start looking over keyboards that have functionality you want. Normally for things like this I go to newegg.com for research as they have a huge selection of parts and the ability to narrow down what you want fairly easily. (I don't necessarily buy from them - I normally go to my local retailer - but for researching options I find the site really useful.) From that, either pick one and order online, or pick a few and check your local retailers.
Also, for reference: Assuming we're talking England, £70 is worth about $110 US.

I'll give it a shot, but I'll probably stick to chrome because of the sync features.

RayhanAli got a reaction from MVPernula in looking for two 27in monitors
For 1080 I would not reccomend a 27" as the pixel density is VERY low. I have a 23.6" 1080p display and I still think that the pixel density is too low for my liking. I would reccomend a 24" 1440p or a 1080p 24"

RayhanAli got a reaction from kon1eczko in Will my PSU be fine?
The PSU should be fine, but DO NOT get that ssd its really slow for the amount you are paying. I would reccomend getting an m.2 drive as the are a LOT faster than SSD's.
I have altered your build and I think this will give you better performance http://pcpartpicker.com/p/3XnrBm it is about $15 more than your build but trust me it will get you further. And if you arent going to do any overclocking then I would recommend taking the CPU cooler off and using the intel stock cooler only if you are on a tight budget.
I hope this comment helped

I think i am going to go for the RX-V 779 as it is very good! The cons arent really too big of a deal to me, well they do matter but they arent dealbreakers! Thanks for the advice tho!

RayhanAli reacted to PutuLips in Best AM3+ Motherboard?
No, AMD CPUs are generally half the price of Intel. Even the motherboards tend to be cheaper. You will need a better cooler than the stock one, but even then, with the mobo + cpu + water cooling, it's still cheaper.
From current Amazon prices:
M5A97 R2.0 = $89.79
H100i = $97.16
FX 8320 = $143.30
= $330.25
i5-4690K = $229.99
ASRock H87 Pro = $108.99
=$338.98
Intel Core i7 4790k alone = $339.99
For gaming alone, I believe Intel seriously isn't worth it.

RayhanAli reacted to i_build_nanosuits in Best Modular 600w PSU?
i think he meant ''performance'' in terms of efficiency, in which he is correct PSU's are most efficient while at 50 to 80% load...so he is correct if you pick a 1000W PSu and you only require 325W at full load then the PSU is never operating at it's most efficient...in which case a 550W PSU would be a much better pick. It's important to pick a PSU that match the parts.
