    INTEL 5820K GIVEAWAY DECEMBER 19-26

Our friends over at Intel have been generous enough to provide us with 2 Core i7 5820K 6-Core Processors to give away to the community! Think of it as an awesome holiday present from Intel to the community

    How do I enter?
Leave a comment below to enter the draw. One comment (entry) per user.

    This is a worldwide giveaway.

Also, please mention in your comment what you would do with the processor if you were to win this giveaway! (This will not affect who wins in any way - winners are chosen at random, this is just a way to add a bit of cool community interaction to the contest) Are you a budding streamer or video editor who will use the extra cores for multi-tasking? Would this chip act as the missing piece for a set of workstation components that you've been eyeing?

    UPDATE 12/27/2014:

The winners of this giveaway are:

    La Jolla Orca

    and

    elan2468

Both of you should have a message from me in your inbox.

Congrats to our winners, and thank you all for entering!

Last edit for this build I think since I got mostly all the things I want. All I need now is some advice for my PSU I was looking at the one listed here
Power Supply: SeaSonic G 550W 80+ Gold Certified Semi-Modular ATX Power Supply  ($146.00 @ Paradigm PCs) and this one Power Supply: Corsair CX 600W 80+ Bronze Certified Semi-Modular ATX Power Supply  ($129.99 @ Mighty Ape) Is there a big difference between them and the fact that ones 80+ bronze and the other 80+ gold?

Hehe. Know that double click thing pretty well.
I remember back in after-school-club (Direct translation from danish (atleast what we called it)) when people played racing games on the playstation 1, and they sat and turned the controller. Motion controls, now with 100% less motion control.

Thought it would be fun to make a topic about, all of our experiences with all the people, who doesn't really understand all the tech.
Note: Don't make this too harsh on them. You need to help them, not yell at them.
    I'll go first:
So my mom has a daycare. And one day I am sitting on the floor with my laptop. And one of the kids, with real dirty hands come and put his hand on the screen. Guess he thought it was a touch screen. Still haven't gotten it off, and it was 3 months ago.
My grandmother is scared of getting rid of the computer, because she thinks it will cut the power to her house.

    That poor guy.

Every time a generation moves, a product is released, technology advances or a convention is held, ASUS is all over it. But I do NOT blame them! It is their business after all.

It is just that, when it does happen, who do they send?

    J.J.

This guy works his butt off series after series (and in this case the x99 platform) becoming familiar with all the hardware, the main marketing points, crafts and memorizes both 'elevator speeches' and 20-minute in-depth scrutinizations of the product, and travels everywhere to do it.

The grueling part is that he does these overviews of ALL of the products in the new line with a WHOLE BUNCH of people, especially YouTubers. But just to be stating the same thing about the same products over and over and over and over

Now don't get me wrong I'm not here to bash anyone. It is ASUS's job to get the word out, and it is J.J.'s job to do that for them. You need to make a living, right? I understand that.

Serious kudos to J.J. though. I see this every time and I commend him on his efforts and wish I could thank him personally. I just want him to know that his efforts do not go unnoticed!

JJ is probably the best industry rep from any company (tech and otherwise) I have ever seen. I would really like to meet him and pick his brain on some of the finer points of the Asus lineup.

BF4 runs well on FX as it makes use of the extra cores.

However if you haven't got the GPU yet consider something other than 770. There's better value and BF4 appreciates more than 2GB of VRAM.

Where Intel products are just superior in every aspect, games are a matter of taste as keyboards and mouses are.

I found Hardline fun during the beta because I wasn't getting blown up by tanks and helicopters every second. Hardline is fun because it's Battlefield 4 without explosions everywhere.

Hardline really felt like a standalone expansion to BF4 to me during the beta. And BF4 has been greatly improved in the fall update. And this is a good price for it, so i would just get BF4 and skip Hardline.

So I found LinusTechTips a bunch of times really, I was always searching up all this computer hardware stuff and getting interested on what made PC so good, and well... you Linus would always show up like the top 3 videos on every freaking search I made on YouTube. So I finally gave in and just had to subscribe. And to my surprise LinusTechTips was amazing! Very good high quality videos even thought it was during the age of only Linus, Luke and Etzel (sorry, if I misspelled it), and it really was, at that time it was hard to find other YouTube channels that were as dedicated to PC hardware . I really don't have a favorite series or anything like that, I like them all equally, but If I had to choose it have to be the WAN Show. And outside of LTT it would have to be LinusCatTips of course. Now for reviewing new products and stuff I really don't care, but having some more reviews on hardware/ software that lean more towards people like me whom are content creators would be great! LTT has really changed a lot about me in so many ways honestly. Now the product I would love to win would have to be the Surface Pro 3. Even though I'm 99.9% sure I'm not going to win this, or for anyone to even read this. I have been keeping my eye on that piece of amazing engineered hardware for a long time, aside from all that rant that Linus gave it on his review. Wow... I wrote a lot
