Thank you. I found it; I just thought the software would be more proprietary.

Use Nvidia's Geforce Experience's system panel to turn them off
You can also do tons of stuff with them in there like effects etc.

People can upgrade and buy >1080p monitors. People have to want them and they have to see a difference. We are seeing a considerably less return on investment when we increase the resolution and 1080p screens still provide a great experience for many people, so it may not go away for a long time. Cellphones are a great example of this stagnation.

Until manufacturers stop producing them, which is when people stop buying them.

Does this mean we're going to 120/144 already? Because that better damn well be what he means.

Mentoast got a reaction from G9x001 in PC's are getting to expensive. (Australian residents)
It's because of economics. You can purchase a very decent gaming PC for less than $2000 but once you pass a certain threshold where the fixed price to produce and engineer a product cannot be easily distributed among a large amount of sales then the pricing easily gets out of hand. What you are seeing with these top tier builds is a symptom of this but is nowhere near industrial products.

For. Canada. As the second largest producer(15%) of uranium  and a country with some pretty good safety precautions in place, I think it's a great way to go.

Mentoast got a reaction from kingdorian in Laptop i7 vs Desktop i3
Laptop CPUs are generally better quality parts since they must be able to withstand more heat. They are also scaled down in operating frequency to conserve power and to avoid over heating all while still costing more due to Q & A and R & D.

The tray prices for these CPUs are quite similar but just look at the difference in their specifications.

Mentoast got a reaction from TheWall in The BBC explains Twitch
Cable companies are run by a bunch of old fogies or ignorant people. They have essentially undermined their future by ignoring the new mainstream things and treating them like they are niches and poor investments. Younger companies like Google are embracing these new trends and monetizing them. Twitch is a great example of several of these trends converging.

Twitch allows for users to dynamically view live content and its success is driven by gaming which is one of the most popular international pastimes. 'Dynamic programming' is here to stay and cable TV isn't.

Java is generally easier to learn and is a more practical programming language than C++.
C++ will make you a better programmer but it isn't the most practical to program in and isn't friendly to beginners.

I recommend C++ since it will help you to recognize problems that are not necessarily apparent earlier and it is more of a 'universal' programming language when it comes to concepts. You can move quite easily to other programming languages from C++ and it's better to destroy a sand castle now than a skyscraper later on.
