  2. Is <gpu_usage> 0.5 </gpu_usage> still optimal for Nvidia 4000 GPUs for NumberFields@home?
  3. The streak of it only being Luke and Linus began Dec 20, 2019. They never broke the streak. They just had a LAN show.
  4. i lke the GD08B from silverstone it will suit my need an desired price but question will my Thermalright AXP120-X67 with a 25mm fan instead of the default 15mm fit in the GD08B if i use both 5.25in bays without slamming into the cooler or ram ? ill be using the bays for my blu-ray burner & my ICY DOCK 6 Bay 2.5” SSD Backplane Enclosure MB326SP-B
  5. its australia i am not surprised i swear everything here is more expensive
  6. Since the 5800X3D doesn't struggle in Fallout4 the way my 4790K did (and the 6700XT is just that much faster than my old GTX 970), the overall system power consumption is well under 150W as opposed to well over 250W.

With the 4.6GHz overclock I had on my 4790K causing it to draw near 120W (at stock voltages) and my GTX 970 overboosting itself and drawing just over 200W, it used to noticeably warm my room up.

  7. TBH there's not too much you can do in terms of preventing failures. If they're gonna happen, they're gonna happen. However, one thing I would highly recommend is getting a UPS. It will make sure the power to your system is clean and continuous. Then if you ever get blackouts or anything like that your PC will safely shutdown. As far as a UPS goes you're gonna want to get a 1500VA UPS. They typically run about $200 USD.
  8. This is the gift that keeps on giving. Apparently you now need to not only be in a supported country, but you also need to be not poor: TL;DR: In some countries, like Ukraine, you can only make a PSN account through a console. So, if you don't own a console or want to buy one, you will not be able to make an account and will lose access to Helldivers in about a month (or won't be able to join in about a day or so). Not sure if this is indeed true, this is the internet after all. But man, locking PSN accounts behind buying a console in some countries, especially Ukraine at this point, not a good look for Sony. This might get ugly....
  9. You can buy any switch. The 2 additional pins are plastic pins that keep the switch stable on the PCB. You just need a pair of diagonal cutters to cut the plastic bits flush https://www.amazon.com/VCELINK-Spring-loaded-Precision-Diagonal-Electronics/dp/B09SL2TCH7/ or use nail clippers. edit: Gateron's Baby Kangaroo Switches are well-known tactile switches. They're the "no pre-travel" style, which means the tactile bump happens at the beginning. Boba U4T switches are also good no-pretravel tactiles. I'm a light typer, so I primarily stick with Gateron Red linear switches.
  10. Yeah, if it'll be a struggle to return, it's not like you'll have issues if you're just running a 7600 without PBO. It's just that if you can swap it to something better like a B650M-HDV or DS3H for the same price, it's probably worth doing so. No, the motherboard has next to no impact on the GPU.
  11. Idk I usually go with Nvidia because of the flawless preformance in adobe software.
  12. Also sorry to bother but the GPU shouldn't be any issue I have the Rx 7800xt?
  13. Happy Easter!

  14. Will try to return it. But unsure if they will take it because I used it already. And thank you for the answer. Been really stressing about my new build but knowing that it should be fine whatever happens I should finnaly be able to relax and start playing.
  15. Doesn't matter, whatever is cheap. It supports only DDR4, and for the speed you want to stick between 3200 and 3600MT/s. Higher speeds can have performance, and 3200 is almost always some of the cheapest speeds you can get nowadays, so no point in getting anything slower. If you do want to upgrade, stick to something cheap. You should be able to do this upgrade for under $50, and I wouldn't want to spend any more than that as any more would be better put towards a future system upgrade.
  16. Your motherobard supports up to 3466MHz DDR4 Ram. Recommended brands: Corsair, TeamGroup, or GSkill. I would look for any of those brands at 3200MHz. As far as if it's worth it... If you're maxing out your ram then yes. I would also recommend getting a 4 stick kit. so 4x8GB and if it's cheap enough for you can always step up to a 64GB kit.
  17. What I find slightly annoying is not knowing what is "good" for the subproject for the event, I don't run BOINC often enough let alone take much notice of the sub projects for them. Makes it difficult for me to know how much effort I should put in to getting systems up and running. It's not a small amount of work going through around 50 different systems and checking if they still work, are they ready and have an OS etc.
  18. Which part? I thought I was pretty thorough lolol. Headphones have a 3.5mm jack which plugs into Apple's awesome USB-C DAC/headphone amplifier. Because I don't want the headphone cable in an annoying location, I have a USB-A extension cable connected to the KVM, and then routed somewhere out of the way in the front of my desk. Because it's a USB-A extension cable, I need to adapt the USB-C dongle to USB-A, so I bought another adapter for that. I have Anker USB charger under my desk, so I have a USB-A to USB micro-B cable running from there to power the UGREEN KVM.
  19. Tensor cores are not used for RT, but rather for DLSS. RT relies on the... RT cores (they have nothing to do with the tensor ones, and don't even exist on the x100 GPUs).
  20. at this point, I would just format the pendrive, and copy back the file you had there. as I assume you just want to delete it. as for why it's there, I just assume, the pen drive got assigned a D letter, and you probably had earlier a partition D with games/apps, and not anymore (and something like game client, or store was just installing as auto update, or had a queue, as it finally got a D partition available) Or you plug it in other PC, that had this exact scenario, and that is actually more likely, as you don't have permission to the folder, and your admin should have them, if it was yours system.
  21. Wait I will be buying this exact switch. But your method went over my head. Can you explain a bit more simple
  22. It'll be OK for the 7600, but I wouldn't put any higher end chips in there. It's a very limited board, to the point where it doesn't even have PBO options and is practically an A620 board rather than a B650 board that it says it is. If you have the option to return it and get something better, do that.
  23. Can you guess the program?
