  2. If you use perfume or cologne instead of showering you are doing it wrong. Perfume should be used in addition to showering, not instead of showering. The purpose isn't to cover up bad smells but rather add a nice smell to an otherwise neutral/lack of smell. I use it sparingly, but if you go to a party or some event it adds a nice flair. For everyday occurances I shower and put on deodorant. Please, if you are a teenager or older then shower at least every other day and put on deodorant. That should be the bare minimum.
  3. I do however want to do them justice. Looking into what I can improve/change for the better is smt I do think will help. For example the cooler, smb said it could cause problems so I changed it.
  4. Cool. The builds are more than fine and even if an SSD isn';t as good as another, they won't notice any difference in any way. The case is subjective and as long as it has a fan intake and a fan exhaust, it'll handle the mid-budget build fine. Not everything has to be min/max, if they enjoy their machine.... that's awesome.
  5. So this might be a really dumb question: How do I log into the SSH session? It didn't give me chance to set a user or password and I've tried just about any default password I can think of. It also doesnt give me the normal debian start menu when it boots up, so I can't change anything in there either. Thanks in advance. EDIT: Figured it out, password is "fa" without the quotation marks. Its also on the CM3588 Wiki, which I should have checked in more detail, before asking here.
  6. 8c =/= 8c/16t. I've always come to understanding hyperthreading/multithreading as the CPUs capability to have a core perform more than one task in a serial processor which traditionally could only do one task at a time. I always go back to this comparison as the easiest way to differentiate the performance hyperthreading/multithreading provides: Intel Core i9-9900K vs Intel Core i7-9700K Benchmark, comparison and differences (cpu-monkey.com) Hyperthreading would be like having to collect Sonic the Hedgehog style coins while driving and your wheels could extend to reach more coins. Yeah there's only 4 wheels, but they can do the work of 5-6 total by being capable of multitasking. Pretty poor analogy, but I tried. Generally, that would mean you're using 60% of those 8c/16t available from your CPU at its given boost clock. If the usage is a lot higher than you're expecting, I'd consider a few variables, like if you're in a c-state or p-state, background applications, thermal headroom to the throttle point, etc.
  7. He didn't ask for an explanation.
  8. Yes. I looked into what they play and want from it asked what else they'll do with it and made this for them. I'm asking to see if it's ok in terms of performance mostly and if anything can change to make it better
  9. How about the Adata STARKERAIR-PKCUS Midi Tower as a case? It seems fine and fits what the person who wants the PC wants from the case aka the color
  10. "Standard disk management" isn't storage spaces. Raid 5 works just fine on regular windows.
  11. Still, the price difference between your chosen 2 heat pipe cooler and a half decent 4 heat pipe cooler might even reflect in performance. I think 2 heat pipe cooler might cause even 12400F to thermal throttle.

  15. there tower coolers for like $20... you never make a better cooler for less ever... were are we going with this? heat can only travle so far the side that contatct the cpu will be hot and the top will be cool making a size a limit what limit that is thats were heatpipes come in play as it move heat from the bottom to the fins. more fins more surface area to cool. but the heat pips have to go across the chip for best cooling now between or part thats why there are off set mounts. and each cpu has the chip in diffrant locations. some disable as well.

  18. Even for 12400F the cooler might not be enough. I'd go for at least 4 heat pipe cooler, something like - https://de.pcpartpicker.com/product/KBkWGX/id-cooling-se-214-xt-648-cfm-cpu-cooler-se-214-xt or https://de.pcpartpicker.com/product/n6bRsY/arctic-freezer-36-cpu-cooler-acfre00121a

Congrats? Thank you for your dedication on being this forum's janitor moderator And, I'm kinda imagining there's molds all over you guys by now
  21. Thats a LOT of budget that is fpr sure gonna eat into a lot of performance. Its also just not a good case. Had bad airflow as its designed on the q300. It actually has a terrible metal to hole ratio of almost 50% metal in the way when most mesh cases are like 25% or less. Has a big impact on cooling performance. The nv2 is also a pretty bad ssd so id not get that. If possible try to talk the person out of that case as its a lot of money for a previously 45€ case that kinda sucked.
