The only way I can see this possibly happening is if the outlets aren't properly grounded. That unfortunately is more common than it really should be in the US, so it's probably worth getting one of those outlet testers to see if the outlet isn't wired correctly. They aren't perfect, if the previous electrician was scummy and just did a bootleg ground that could cause the outlet tester to false say it's good (at least the cheap ones), but it's at least a start without having to take apart the outlet or get an electrician in there if you don't know what you're doing.

BOINC Pentathlon 2024
leadeater replied to leadeater's topic in Folding@home, Boinc, and Coin Mining
It's very similar to Folding@Home, which actually start out as a BOINC project then later splitting off to it's own thing. Academics can setup 'BOINC Projects' and BOINC users and sign up to one or many projects and get issues Work Units. It's a little more complicated than Folding@Home because you have to sign up to each project either through the BOINC Client App or sometimes (rarely) on the Project Website itself. The BOINC Pentathlon has a total of 5 different Projects over the 2 weeks that run at different times and some over lap with others, it's team focused event rather than induvial so no stress about not being able to do all the project that are active at the same time. People will say here which one we think needs to be focused on etc. -
I'd say reseat the GPU, make sure the cables are secure and try again?

Banned because googling is overrated. (Does look good though)

CMOS clear just sets everything back to base settings, and allows for anything that may have gone wonky to be set back to Default.

Dont tighten your CPU cooler and try again, keep it finger tight. See if that helps
-
That's a little extreme, I would like to try other things first. I also don't see the point of this.

u can try clearing CMOS and reseating/checking any other potential loose connections if you don't feel like reseating CPU first

I don't know where the diagnostic lights are but I don't see any light from the motherboard. I see 2 red lights blink on the GPU itself. Both lights just a bit above both power connectors.

They might have better margins but you still have to sell enough to get over ROI of doing the product in the first place, I suspect a lot of AIB have been burned by a few AMD GPU models in the past that just didn't sell enough. Also people just want Nvidia, brand power does mean something whether we think it is logical or not.

banned for not googling

no... not there nevermind, found it. time stamp is out of sync because it is live.
-
any ideas if that doesn't work
-

Removing melted rubber gasket from fiberglass

It's worth saying for cosmetics etc, I worked mostly in industry so if the above didn't work a pry bar did. No one cares what it looks like when its 30ft from the stage -
So what is this boinc Im interested but don't know what is but it sounds cool. what do I need to know?
-
Oh I see. USB port definitely could've discharged straight to the motherboard if you hit just the right spot - though the metal casing around the port would've just discharged to the case.
-
i haven't any thermal paste you recon i coukd just chuck the cpu cooler back on
-
Luckily don't have to worry about getting any on the cone, a piece of the driver assembly extends a few cm into the horn.

At the start? Can't send a link with a timestamp but it's -1:04:00

reseat your CPU for good measure.

Longevity of AM4? 2nd personal build thoughts.
podkall replied to DARBADARBZ's topic in CPUs, Motherboards, and Memory
If you're just gaming, you'd want to upgrade to 5700x3D rather than 5800x3D to save some $, if you're considering to upgrade your current CPU -
So here's a little backstory: I had posted last night for some help. My graphic drivers were crashing then i updated them and then it crashed one final time like this. multiple people said the graphics card had tied. i was lucky enough to sell some things today and bought a new card. the vga light is still on and i've still not getting anything in my computer.. Everything is plugged in right. my computer is on everything is on everything's running my monitor isn't just getting any feedback from y pc. i tried a second monitor and many cables and still nothing.. What could it be at this point?
