Will this card go well with my current PC?

I currently have an older computer with an AMD Phenom 9550 x4 and 4GBP of RAM and it has a motherboard with only a pcie 1.0 slot. I was wondering if I were to get one of the new AMD R7 260x cards if I would see any bottlenecks from the pcie lane or the cpu?

Might be a little, PCIe 1.0 is pretty old. Not much bandwidth going through there. Also the CPU isn't the best. I honestly wouldn't go with a cheaper card because they would be totally not worth it. If you do get the 260x, compare it to other online benchmarks and see how your rig does compared to others out there. If I had to guess, there would be a bottleneck, just not sure how severe.

yes i could, i would also upgrade to 8 gigs of DDR3 RAM

PCI-E 1.0 to a R7 260X may be a bottleneck but i think it's fine :)
