How big of a difference is 1080p 21.5 to 27 inch

Aytex

HUGE, if you keep sitting at an average distance from the screen 1080p at 27" the pixelation is very noticeable and causes discomfort at least for me.

27" is better fitted for 1440p

at 24" is the largest display size at which I would consider 1080p comfortable

I would say it's noticeable. You're going from 102.5 PPI on the 1080P 21.5" monitor down to 81.6 PPI on the (assuming) 1080P 27" monitor. You'll be able to distinguish more pixel so maybe try sitting further back.

IMO yes, 24" is the largest screen size I would go on 1080P.

Depends on how close you have the monitor/television, like others are saying. If you sit close to it (like a couple feet away-ish) you'll be able to notice the pixels.

Hi,

I use a 21.5" monitor that is about 3 1/2 feet away from me. This is a very comfortable setup. If you're going to be about 5 feet away then I'd say use a 24" as @DXMember said.

Well then I'd say stick with the 21.5" if you have no plans to move any farther.

I also sit 1 foot away from my 24" 1200p monitor, is fine IMO.

Whatever suits your personal preferences is perfectly fine. Go with whatever feels most comfortable.
