Is my Machine Dying ;(

Hello Friends,
I upgraded to windows 10 around a month ago, since this my pc has been dying, before i start telling you about my problem allow me to tell you about my machine.

I am using an MSI GS70 Stealth (i know its a laptop and gamming laptops are bad but its required for work)
i have 16gb DDR3 Ram

an I7 Quad Core CPU

and a nividia GTX with 2gb DDR5 GPU

These specs although not amazing are fairlay decent and should be capable of fast operation for most tasks yet i seem to get NO speed at all, on webbrowsers i have terrible lag if the site contains a video i want to watch i must allow HUGE buffer time (internet speed avr 70mb), if i play any steam games such as Call of duty world at war, Insurgency, Blackops3, G-mod and many more i WILL NOT get over 20 maybe 30 FPS

I am also into scritping/coding/map making etc... and when im attempting to comiple maps or code it has actually been known to take a day or more at some points.

Fixes ive personally tried.
1 - Optimizing windows settings (Disabling unneeded services etc...)
2 - Defraging HDD and SSD, running CC Cleaner and other basic cleanup tasks
3 - Thought possible throatal due to heat laptop was running at so i took case appart and modified bottom section to contain 2 larger fans
4 - Refreshed windows 10 install, Updated ALL drivers for GPU and many other things

ANY HELP would be greatly apreashated.

Thank you

   Richard

I do have a 390, but I don't think that helps much Dan. I would reinstall drivers if you know how to. If not, many people and I would be more than willing to help you out. Your laptop should not be having any problems at all. Do you use any temperature monitoring software? It would help to see your idle temps for you CPU and GPU. You don't, by chance, have DSR turned on do you?

Hello guys,

Thank you for your quick replys,

I personally usually find gamming laptops have more issues this could just be bad luck for me however, but hay ATLEAST I GOT THIS FOR FREE :)
also all drivers are upto date with a small exception of my onboard intel graphics which wont update dont know why but it dont use it for anything really.

And umm to my knowledge i do not, however i do have Nividia Geforce Experience installed but tend to not turn it on unless checking for driver updates.

as for temp i dont actually have anything to check it with, is their any software you would reccommend.

Hello,
Sorry for taking so long to reply i broke my leg and was in hopsital all of yesterday hahaha :)

RefinedSkillz thank you for your reply but unfortunatly this is not an option due to the laptop being a work machine and windows 10 being the system we run, also i deem it very

unlikley that ALL my speed issues are down to windows 10 however in saying that this could be related to the directX maybe i may be wrong but doesnt windows 10 natively use directX
