Star Wars Battlefront

fishfreak101

My Bottle-necked Build:

CPU-AMD A4-6300

Mobo-ASUS A55-BM Plus

Ram-12 GB 1600 MHZ Crucial Ballistix Sport

GPU-MSI R9 270

I was just wondering if this could play star wars battlefront, and at what preset.  I was also wondering how much a motherboard effects a build.  I know the CPU needs an upgrade, is an AMD Athlon X4 860k appropriate. Thank you for any feedback.

It won't play anything well. What is your budget. I'll put something together for you and give you a PCPartPicker List. I own a custom PC business, so one might say I am good at it. :P

We do not know how Battlefront runs yet. Wait until Oct. 8th to download the beta for a general idea on you system's performance.

Well I am on a pretty tight budget. I'm only 14 and when i started this build my mom said I couldn't go over $100,(an awful budget) so as of now this is what I'm running. I was hoping to keep the new CPU under $120. I was wondering if the motherboard would really effect its gaming performance.

That budget is a little low to work with. A PC for under 100 is not even possible.

This is my completed build:

CPU-AMD A4-6300

Mobo-ASUS A55-BM Plus

Ram-12 GB 1600 MHZ Crucial Ballistix Sport

GPU-MSI R9 270

What are the best upgrades I can make? I'm trying to keep the CPU below $120. I was also wondering how much  does a motherboard matter.

I would go

Intel G3250 Pentium

Any Mobo by: Gigabyte, Asus or MSI

8GB RAM (Cheapest)

R9 270

Would the Pentium outperform an AMD x4 860k?

Considerably. Reminder don't forget PSU, Case, and Drives!
