How do I setup wireless bridging?

dukethedj

I want to extend the wifi using older routers. Is there any way to do this?

The routers I am using:

Motorola SURFboard SBG6580 (Base station. I want to extend this routers range)

Linksys WRT160n (To be used as an extender)

Linksys E2500 (Same as above)

All of these routers seem to have wireless bridging capability.

Any idea on how to do this?

You are on a need to know basis, and you don't need to know.

If you want to setup the routers in bridge mode you would require a wired connection to the router itself from the main one to use as a wireless access point.

I've read on many guides that you just need the routers MAC address and other stuff like that. is that  what these text boxes are for?

Hmm I believe your unit has a wireless bridge mode to allow it to connect to the main router/bridge without a physical line to get wired connections for devices but I'm not too sure how that setup works
