amd a8 6410 help

Hello All,

I was given a HP Laptop that has an AMD A8 6410/radeon r 5 graphics, with 4gb of Ram.  This little laptop works great for my REALTOR work.  However, when I'm not working I like to play games.  I've run into some trouble here with newer games not wanting to work.  I'm assuming my problem is having an APU with only 4 gb of ram.  Am I right?  I've also been curious if it has to do with the fact the apu is called a quad core but 2 cores are supposedly dedicated to the gpu?

Also would upgrading to the max 8gb of ram make enough of a difference to justify the trouble of swapping out the memory module.  On this model of laptop you have to take of the keyboard and some other stuff to get to it.

If I do swap out the memory is there anything else I might want to think about upgrading while I'm under the hood?

Thanks to all

Newer games require a powerful computer, your laptop with an APU won't cut it for that, you will run them but with poor frames per second.
