Budget Build Time (Again!)

LittleLagoo

Hello there guys I'd really like some budget build's recommended for the budget of around 580€ not more not less since I really don't have much more than that to spare! So I have a question with this as well, is it worth getting an R9 270x 2gb over an R9 380 2gb? Or even maybe get an R9 380 4gb? Couldn't really find anything solid on the 380 since it does seem to be a fairly newer card on the market? Anyways for that price range I don't even know if it's possible to get an i5 and the 380 together in one package... I do expect the PC to run most of the newer games on high/ultra at a decent fps range since I don't really plan on upgrading anytime soon... Maybe eventually change some components on Christmas! Thanks in advance :)

The 380 series is a bit better than the 270/280 series. Get a R9 380 2gb or 4gb, whatever you can afford.The 4gb will be better tho.

Otherwise get a R9 280x or finally the r9 270x

get an r9 280x, it has 3gb of vram and beats the 380 which is a rebranded 285.

I heard that the 380 seems to fare much better than the 280's and of course the 4gb one will be better. Altough I'm not really sure if I'd be able to fit in within the budget, would the 2gb one be really worth it as well?

The r9 270x has already been outmatched in terms of price to performance with the r9 270. Try to look for r9 280s if you can't afford the r9 380.

The problem is the site im buying the parts from does not really have any other 280x available anymore except the powercolour and the XFX one... And yet those are for whatever reason expensive compared to the 380

For 1080p the 2gb will be fine in most cases. Otherwise if you cant find a R9 280/280x brand new  to fit in your budget,try to find a used one in good condition.Also the powercolor and xfx brands are very good

280x is the same as a 380

a 270x is faster than a 370

sure its better to get a 380 over a 270x but i don't think it would fit in your tight budget. If you can find a GTX960 around 160-180€ it might have the better perf/price ratio.

I5 = 225$

380= 180€

Honestly, i think you should wait a few month and earn some more money, 600€ isn't enough for what you want. 800€ would be a good mount of money to build what you want.

The i5 4460 costs 169€ and the 380 4GB costs 234€ on mindfactory.de I don't know where you found a 380 for a 180€ but that would be darn nice to have since the build I actually had in mind is around 580€ and it consists of an i5 4460 (169€), R9 270x ASUS DirectOC (178€), 8gb Corsair Vengeance ram (46€), 1tb WD Blue (45€), Gigabyte GA B85M motherboard (64€), 500w CoolerMaster PSU (38€), and the NZXT Source 210 for (49€) (Don't know if there are any better budget cases...)

P.S. If you've got something better to recommend please do guys that'd be really nice

And as a side note... It would be really really nice to get something good to replace my five year old PC that's barely running now since the HD 5570 1gb died a week ago (lol yes that thing actually held up some OC'ing and worked until the screen started to fragment and after a PC restart the GPU stopped working and just kept spinning like crazy. good five years I'd say)

Damn sometimes all of this seems like a head-ache but I'll see what I can do... I was actually intending to get a PC to pay off in rates for about 50€ a month or so but I'll figure something out :) If nothing else I resort to ebay and cash bare

I see. I'll think about that as well but here is something else.... A friend of mine suggested me either of these (Yes I'm aware that those are PURE AMD Builds but would they be worth conscidering or not? And how do the AMD CPU's fare with DX12 now?) 8mIsOSM.jpg

And this second one

EDIT: Damn probs should have added a spoiler for those two pics... Don't know how to do that ,sorry :/

860K's are of an older chipset. You won't see much benefit at all. It's purely for budget.

You could get away with 550w, but not a big difference imo.

Also fx are bad  now as a choice because they are old  (4 years old), i would not recommend them.
