Dual slot to single slot

is there any way to turn a dual slot card into a single slot card? I have a GTX 970 SSC with the ACX 2.0+ cooler and wanted to do two way SLI in a Lian Li PC-07s case and because I'd be water cooling the bottom card, I wouldn't have any need for the second slot it takes up, so I wanted to use that slot to install a wifi card, is there any way to do that?

It's unlikely without taking tools to your card as the DVI connector normally sits on the 2nd row so you'd have to detatch that from the PCB. Not something I'd advise (but take lots of pictures if you do )

I do not think that that will be possible. you would need a new pcb entirely to do that as they are designed to have connectors on both parts of the dual slot bracket.

You could use a PCI-E extension and plug in/mount the Wifi card somewhere else more suitable inside the system.

not really becuase top slot is vents, then bottom is ports.

Personally I would just get a mobo with onboard wifi.  Its a lot less hassle.
