Should I run this rig at 144hz 1440P or 4K 60hz?

ANY game on MAX on 4K with single GTX 980 Ti? No

You could save on CPU and get Crossfire of R9 390x, would already be a lot better on 4K.

1440p @ 144hz looks better than 4k @ 60hz, imo. It just has that 'Swag' Factor.

Xeon 1231 v3/ H81m - P33 / 8GB Corsair Vengeance/ GTX 950/ Fractal Design Core 1000.

How about 1440p ultrawide?

Wouldn't games look super odd and stretched with wide screen? I also doesn't think they have 1440p wide screen @ 144hz

That's not how ultrawide works, the resolution is larger as well, not just the screen

Ultrawide monitors run at an aspect ratio of 21:9 versus the "standard" of 16:9 of 2560x1440p monitors.

So a 1440p ultrawide has a resolution of 3440x1440p, and a 16:9 1440p has a resolution of 2560x1440p.

It has more pixels to make up for the increased width basically. However that also means you need a stronger GPU for the ultrawide than you do a 16:9 monitor.

The Acer XR341CK will be an 21:9 1440p 144Hz IPS screen.

Damn, got ninja'd.
