Any tips for website? HTML

NInety

My goal was to make a modern website. It's not finished.

https://sites.google.com/site/officialdualplay/

By the way this is for a future YouTube channel that doesn't even exist yet. I'm not advertising. Don't subscribe to the channel. And please do not purchase from the store.

Is this going to stay on google sites?

• OS: Windows 10/10 Pro  • SSD: Samsung 256GB 850 Evo Series *  • HDD: Seagate 1TB  • GPU: MSI GeForce GTX 1070 GAMING X (SLI)
• CPU: i7-4790K OC 4.7GHz Quad-Core Processor • Case: NZXT H440 (Black/Red) • PSU: EVGA SuperNOVA NEX 650W
• RAM: G.Skill Ripjaws X Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR3-1600 Memory • Mobo: MSI Gaming 5

No, the google sites address is temporary, I'm probably going to use squarespace when it comes time to make the actual site.

I'm assuming this is for some sort of multiplayer/co-op gaming channel.

Whatever a person sees first is going to set the tone for the site. Something I found pretty cool was a really short (no more than 5 seconds) animation/video, and music clip.

BTW, despite what youtube seems to think you can use any music clip for profit without paying royalties as long as it doesn't exceed a predetermined length (it used to be 20 seconds, but you'll have to check up on the newer legalities if you go this route) This ruling still exists or techno "musicians" would be in a hell of a lot of trouble.

Only issue I really didnt like was the hover over the button links. The matching red colour when you hovered looked really bad. If you wanted to keep the red background of the hover atleast make it so the text changes to black or something.

Could we get more info? What is this for specifically? I'm assuming a YouTube type thing, also what is your web design background?

That said, as Nonco mentioned, the hover color for the links should not be the same as the background of the body, I'd recommend a lighter grey on hover to contrast the black. Along with that I feel on the shop and about us page, the headings that say "Shop!" and "About Us!" are not necessary, if someone navigates to that page they would know they're they from the menu and the page they're on having a different BG color for the link.

Yeah, a co-op gaming channel.

I'll probably put the channel trailer on the home page.

I'll probably just buy the licenses of a few songs.

Didn't notice that.

A co-op let's play channel on YouTube. No real web design background.

Center the store title.

I tried but I couldn't on google sites. :/

use Bootstrap for the taskbar.

Sorry, I don't know what you mean by taskbar. :(

Maybe red with hints of white. :D

It's not that hard honestly.

You can read what most of it is about and do what you want yourself, or you can use their actual framework.

i would look at it, but that bright red background made me temporarily blind

This is exactly why i suggested white with red hints.

I agree. I dislike the chosen background colour a lot.

I agree with everyone about the background. That red just made me want to cry. It's too bright especially if someone is looking at it at night. Oh my goodness. RIP. Haha. I would go for a neutral color background with red accents or something like that.

Looks much better to me. I think it might look nice to take the colour red used in the logo (the darker red around the logo text), and also use it for the buttons.

If you wanted to keep the red theme going on the background, you could put the content on in a div that appears to be raised up from the background like this:

This is a good question. I would like to know, because I recently created a Java app, and I'd like to have an accompany website (for educational purposes).

I like the look of it right now. And I don't know what you mean by limitations. If you want to check yourself, it's free.

I found this:

Not sure if that's what you need though.
