960>280. 960 beats the 280 in games, while using less power. Plus it has the Nvidia gameworks features which is nice.

I would personally save for a 280x/ 970 tho.

you cant compare graphics cards like that (especially ones from different brands)

You literally can't compare them just based off of specs. On paper a Fury X would destroy 980 Ti...

And a 290x and a 980 Ti would be equal...

Benchmarks (games, or synthetics) are the best way to compare gpus, as it asses their power, rather than how many compute cores, or texture units it has.

 

The fury x trades blows with a 980 ti but it has over 4000 stream processor, compared to the 980 ti's 2800 cuda cores (differences in architecture can make large impact)
