My only suggestion is to stay away from anything with "Gaming" branding. Look on YouTube for MKBHD and check out his videos on budget headphones. It's all about how you prefer your sound.

headset $100 limit CAD

Every goddamn thread, some jacknob has to spout off and recommend the M50x in the very first post. Invariably:

  1. The M50X is the only real headphone they've owned/tried
  2. They offer no justification or if they do it's "utewberz said it was good"
  3. They fail to acknowledge the M50X's weaknesses or offer viable alternatives
  4. They ignore the OP's stated requirements or budget

Can we be over the M50X now? Maybe if that's the only thing you can think to post in a headphone recommendation thread, just keep your trap shut?

you could look on ebay and get them for like $90 I saw some where that the more hours the drivers have on them the better they sound

My point still stands. That doesn't leave much of a budget for a microphone and ignores clearly superior headsets/headphones. And don't get me started on burn-in.

That's great and all, the M50x is simply not a great gaming headphone. It definitely isn't worth buying used.

Audio technica ath ad500x for open back headphones for closed add 10$ and get the Shure srh440+840 pads.

With your budget and the fact you have a mic the clouds are just a waste and you can do much better.

Also m50x/40x... Has close to no soundstage and won't be very good for gaming.
