Its an empty sensor header that's displaying its maximum temp as it has no other data. Dont worry about it.

Hi,

 

On my friends new pc HWmonitor is showing TMPIN0 reading of 115°C. Everything else is normal. What is Tempin0 and why it is so hot?

iirc it's the socket temperature.

you would probably want to dust your motherboard and see why it's so high

If it's a constant 115, then it's probably just a glitch.

sensor might be busted, temperature could also be in F (could happen), cpu might not be installed properly, cooling might be broken.

Does your friend say it feels hot in the case? I've had HWMonitor say my SSD was at 120-119c, when it felt cold. 

No, he went trough the whole motherboard but it didn't feel hot at all.

115C is pretty hot for a CPU socket.
