You're most likely going to make a loss if you're not using ASIC miners, just so you know.

If you are mining with your computer and its has a good GPU you should mine coins like Dashpay, but if your running something subpar ie: lower than the 50 ti card in an Nvidia series of cards its going to be extremely difficult to make a profit unless you do it for a long time. Even if you have a good GPU you still won't make a lot of money.

Don't do it. You won't get more than  a few dollars a month, even with high end hardware.

CoinWarz is a neat little site to decide which cryptocurrency to mine. Just do remember that cryptocurrency in general is woefully volatile, especially if you're looking into anything that isn't Bitcoin or possibly LItecoin.

 

You'll also find that it's likely hard to make any profit these days unless you're ready to invest a substantial amount of money. Even when you do turn a profit, money could have often been better spent on the cryptocurrency directly, and you still have to deal with volatility and unpredictable difficulty swings for less-establish coins.
