Today we released a new Hotfix driver that addresses the following issue:

 
Chrome Crashes/Freezes/TDRs
 
Delays when starting or switching apps & games with GSYNC enabled

 

 

If anyone has been experiencing black screen crash in games and while using chrome browser (although disabling hardware acceleration seemed to fix this) go check out this hotfix driver.

nVidia's last ~four driver revisions have been pretty shit, a good driver from them is probably newsworthy now :)

Well nvidia drivers are not news but and AMD one will be as the last major driver release was january

Disabling hardware acceleration did seem to fix it.

DO NOT TOUCH IT! Folks folks are claiming it's a godsent.

 

Well my driver just crashes killed the feed to both monitors and rebooted my entire system.

It's even worse now....

 

I have no idea what NVIDIA are playing lately. 

My GTX 980 never had issues, not since launch day.

 

These 353.xx drivers are horrific. Reminds me of the NForce drivers of my 7950GX2.

I had tons of "He's dead jim" crashes for 2 weeks driving me nuts.

Can you pass me a link  i cant find it on their website? I have 353.30 currently.

Zero crashes on all recent drivers for me on a 970. I game everyday. Guess I'm just lucky. I hope they fix it for others though.

Holy crap this is getting crazy. Chrome crashes all of the time for me now and I can't run OC settings on ESO without it freezing. Did Nvidia hire AMD's driver team?

I experienced them on all of them, but not during gaming, just desktop use. I've been on a pre-witcher 3 driver for quite a while I think. 

muh specs 

Gaming and HTPC (reparations)- ASUS 1080, MSI X99A SLI Plus, 5820k- 4.5GHz @ 1.25v, asetek based 360mm AIO, RM 1000x, 16GB memory, 750D with front USB 2.0 replaced with 3.0  ports, 2 250GB 850 EVOs in Raid 0 (why not, only has games on it), some hard drives

Screens- Acer preditor XB241H (1080p, 144Hz Gsync), LG 1080p ultrawide, (all mounted) directly wired to TV in other room

Stuff- k70 with reds, steel series rival, g13, full desk covering mouse mat

All parts black

Workstation(desk)- 3770k, 970 reference, 16GB of some crucial memory, a motherboard of some kind I don't remember, Micomsoft SC-512N1-L/DVI, CM Storm Trooper (It's got a handle, can you handle that?), 240mm Asetek based AIO, Crucial M550 256GB (upgrade soon), some hard drives, disc drives, and hot swap bays

Screens- 3  ASUS VN248H-P IPS 1080p screens mounted on a stand, some old tv on the wall above it. 

Stuff- Epicgear defiant (solderless swappable switches), g600, moutned mic and other stuff. 

Laptop docking area- 2 1440p korean monitors mounted, one AHVA matte, one samsung PLS gloss (very annoying, yes). Trashy Razer blackwidow chroma...I mean like the J key doesn't click anymore. I got a model M i use on it to, but its time for a new keyboard. Some edgy Utechsmart mouse similar to g600. Hooked to laptop dock for both of my dell precision laptops. (not only docking area)

Issue is if you have a 980Ti you're stuck with 353 drivers :(

 

It's so sad that these cards are handicapped by the drivers, and it's going on two months now.

I installed the new drivers and I now notice text rendering issues in chrome.

Someone on the NVIDIA forums is saying they have the same TDR issues on Quadro cards. That is not good at all.

No hotfix for them as well, although our hotfix isn't really fixing anything.

Oh SNAP! I love that we finally got those at least. Use to drive me up the wall not having full colour. At least in OS X you could directly add support for them.

Have to admit, I'm really missing my AMD FirePros lately. Sure the 980Ti's are amazingly powerful, but that doesn't help much if the drivers can't let them actually work.

At least so far when working in Adobe products they haven't crashed too much. Unlike the 353.30 batman driver, that crashed constantly trying to do anything worthwhile.

 

Edit: Gotta Admit the Fury X's are looking mighty tempting. Although as a horrible techslut I want them anyway :P
