USB audio

lukky211111

So how will this work I have a z97 MSI gaming 7 motherboard and its got stuff to help make the audio sound good ( I'm not very good at describing things) but how will that work if I used a headset like the hyperx cloud gaming 2 with its USB sound card? Will I still get that improved audio?

If you use the Cloud Gaming 2, then you will not benefit from the motherboard processing any sound, no. Everything will be processed by the headset's USB sound card.

Sig under construction.

hey man if you don't connect the headset to the motherboard you would not take any of the advantages of the motherboards onboard audio (headphone amp, and so on) but if your usb audio has better amp for headphones use that if not you can use the onboard audio for your headphones with the dedicated amp and use the usb audio for external speakers like 5.1 or power amp just look at testing review of both and decide what better for what

sorry about my bad English hope u got it and i helped

Stereo headphones - MOBO sound card used. Soundblaster optimized audio

8 Channel MOBO sound card is used, also gives Soundblaster optimization

USB - Sound card built in to the USB connector is used. The USB benefit advertised by MSI is that it provides a stable power supply for your headphones. (you wont get dips like some computers might)

You guys can correct me if I am wrong, but I am very sure that is how it works. (I own the same Motherboard, just in X99S)

Edit : Oops, looks like you found your answer.
