Not enough to upgrade, but enough not to buy 8350 over it.

if you want cheap performance xeon is the way to go.

then step further is 4690k overclocked

and the last step is 4790k.

I would get an unlocked Skylake i5 if I were looking for an upgrade with that system. :)

Or, maybe, buy nothing at all. Your CPU should do MOST things just fine.

Xeon 1231v3 would be a worthy upgrade for streaming. Otherwise, wait for skylake.

What board would you recommend if I went with that option also it is possible to overclock the Xeon 1231v3 by a small amount right?

you can run xeon on h81 boards, just need to make sure they work with haswell refresh. Or you could get a cheap h97/z97 board.

IMHO the i7-4790K and a Z97 board would make more sense...but at this point in time you might as well wait for the next gen CPU's if yours can still do what you want it to do...the i5-4460 is only noticeably better in SOME circumstances and even slightly worse in some others...it's not a worthy upgrade although the i5-4460 is overall a superior CPU to the FX-8350.

The Xeon and the i7 are quite overpriced in the UK IMHO. And the Devil's Canyon i5 is also overpriced at the moment it has gone up like £20 since launch.

I'd go i5 4460 if you buy anything but depending on what you do it might just be worth keeping what you have right now.
