hey guys,

 

So as you know, many AMD processors have incorrect temp readings according to 3rd party programs. So I installed core temp and it kept switching between 1-5 degrees Celsius idling with  a corsair H60. Knowing this was wrong, i went into bios and corrected the offsets from 1 degree to the bios' cpu temp reading of 28 degrees. Right at this moment I am running prime95  and so far its only getting to 53 degrees. Shouldn't this be higher for a FX-4130 on a corsair H60? Anyways i was expecting around 60-65 degrees Celsius. Is this right or are the temps just wrong? Thanks.

temp sensors are only wrong at idle, you should check that the sensor that its getting the reading from is the right one. my friend used speedfan and was getting 30*c temps then found out he was always reading the board temps.

that cpu isnt super power hungry so that sounds like a perfectly normal temp with that cooler.

again, just make sure its reading the right sensor.

speccy is usually correct so if they match up you know you got the right one.

Temp sensors are quite weird on AMD CPUs. They only show wrong temps on idle (at least with my old athlon and ive seen a lot of other cpus do this).

it will give u better info

those temps probably about right with a h60 running prime

 

 

1-5c idle where are your north pole ? j/k

speccy is usually correct so if they match up you know you got the right one.

Before I adjusted it I ran prime 95 and it was 30 degrees C under load. Definitely not right lol.

Hdwinfo also said 1 degree.
