A GTA V FPS boost trick for Nvidia users

Firearm2112

Hey guys,

So if your like me and have an Nvidia card I found a strange way to increase FPS that worked for me.

Go into the game and disable MSAA, and just enable FXAA. Then, go into your Nvidia control panel and force x16 Anti Aliasing and force FXAA, all under the GTA V profile in the panel. This made the game look better and run better for me.

I also set max pre rendered frames to one. I remember this making watch dogs run better.

Hmmm i'm skeptical. I don't disagree that it will get you more frames. Also you can access those settings from inside the game. I don't think it made my game look any better. If anything I saw more jagged edges then before. Still might be worth a shot for others to try though.

Also you are not changing the Anti Aliasing to x16 you are changing the Anisotropic Filtering to x16. Fairly certain those are different.

My Gaming Rig (Build November 2014):
