How much does it cost?

So we all know the stock cooler is free, mid range air coolers are 30-ish bucks, and aio's range from 40-200

But what is the real cost of a custom loop only cooling one gpu and the Cpu ( 1x 240mm rad and 1x 120mm rad)

How cheap can a loop actually be made without compromising/harming components?

Edit: I ask because I was contemplating starting to design my own case (clockwork themed) and maybe do a small copper loop inside

I would say easily 600 or 700 dollars. Kinda depends on the parts you're getting and the amount and size of rads you'd be using.

how about cpu only loop? as the gpu could be added later..(looked at plates and they are 100 bucks minimum a pop lol)

only 1 240mm rad btw

You could probably get that in a kit for around 400.

most buy the AIO for convenience, lack of knowledge, or not skilled to take on

the task of DIY water cooling. some look at it that a $30 air cooler is a well to-do

as spending $150 on water cooling. in most cases, that could be true, but flip

side of it all is that there are many that get 30° better in CPU temperatures over

the air HSF systems. is it worth it, the wallet, confidence and effort will tell.

i don't think cheaper is the solution. they've been around alot longer than AIO

coolers and really haven't varied in price too much. the blocks and rads have

been brought up to newer standards.
