Help Selecting Monitor(s)

MacHudde

I am shopping for a monitor and I am not sure what to get.

Here is my build
http://pcpartpicker.com/user/MacHudde/saved/7gBWGX

Let me tell you my requirements.

  • I have a 47" x 29" desk.
My budget is $500.00 CDN (as I am in Canada)
I play MMORPG and FPS games
I do graphic and web design so colour accuracy has to be good.
I need need something that is good for productivity, so either multiple monitors or split screen capability.
If multiple monitors, then a thin bezel is required.

Thanks in advanced guys.

Here is what I would do; get two monitors, one for professional use and the other for gaming.

These are the two monitors I would go with.

The BenQ's monitor is 144hz with 1ms response time and the other monitor is an entry level PLS monitor from Samsung which should be decent

OR

If professional work is more important than balance, I would go with an ASUS Pro Art series monitor like this one

I was doing some research and thinking about diong a dual 24" monitor setup.

An Acer GN246HL 144Hz 24" for the main gaming monitor and an Acer G247HL VA 60Hz 24" as the secondary. I like that both monitors look very similar as I have a touch of OCD for that stuff.

If you say that colour accuracy is important then a VA panel monitor wouldn't be the best choice. You'll wanna stick with an IPS display for colour critical work.

ON A 7 MONTH BREAK FROM THESE LTT FORUMS. WILL BE BACK ON NOVEMBER 5th.
