First PC build - $1000 AUD

Go to solution Solved by Imakuni,

Do not spend $200 out of $1000 on the case.

This. I won't let you spend so much on a case if that'll hamper actual system performance. Also, here's a suggestion: get from places other than the Umart. The sits in here are all reliable. It'll save you some bucks.

Screw the looks of the case, focus on the "looks" of your games

The H24 would work just fine.

Nope. The 960 is weaker than the 280x. Arguably as good as the 280... although I personally think it's worse as well.

is it worth buying a CPU fan and or replacing the default fans in the case?

For a "K" CPU, yes. But for the ones we recommended, the stock cooler is fine.

As for case fans.... I don't find it necessary. It's okay to do it if you want some extra performance, but at your price point, it's not worth it.
