Waterblock for sapphire dual-x r9 280?

i'm planning on watercooling my pc and i was curious if there is a full waterblock for teh sapphire dual-x r9 280 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814202099   I also heard that sapphire dual-x and tri-x cards use the reference layout pcb. So I guess my questions are:

 

  1. Is there a full cover waterblock for this card?
  2. Does this card use the reference style layout?

EK does not manufacture a full block cover, though actually watercooling the card isn't that worthwhile anyways. You could actually put a universal block on it, but then you have to figure out VRM and VRAM cooling. It uses a nonstandard layout.

My main reason for doing this is more about the noise than the performance

Custom loop water cooling is expensive. If you're looking for a noise reduction I'd recommend trying to sell the GPU on craigslist for +$100 and using the MINIMUM $200 you would have spent on your loop to get a GTX 960/970 as they're extremely quiet compared to AMD. Unfortunately the GTX 960 is not a major step up from a R9 280, if anything it's a step away; but it certainly is more quiet.

Just curious, do you think the nzxt kraken g10 bracket and a compatible water cooler would work too?

Yes but they leave the VRMs exposed and the R9 280 is a rebadged 7950; it has quite the hot PCB design and the Kraken Brakets/AIO coolers still aren't cheap.
